Detailed Reviews
We came for the accommodation, and came back because of the gourmet breakfast. Having stayed at some of the world’s very best hotels, never have we enjoyed a better start to our day. It was a Michelin Star experience on a patio with a panoramic view.
Should our hosts Steve and Chrissy, ever reconsider careers, they would also excel at a reality based sitcom. The humor between them provided much laughter.
It’s akin to staying with long time friends whom provided the perfect balance of engagement, and still leaving guests time to themselves. The little touches such as fluffy bath robes, fine bedding and towels, spotless cleaning standards, neatly folded toilet paper, and a preheated cup for coffee were evidence of 5 star hospitality by people who work hard so we don’t have to, and care.
The Ritz has much to learn from A View of the Lake.
Our heartfelt appreciation to Steve and Chrissy for a fine stay.

We rented this B&B solely on my research on the internet. We usually stay in hotels but thought a B&B was clearly the way to go while visiting the wineries.
We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it!!
Steve and Chrissy are great hosts, I just loved their british accents! Steve cooked for us the delicious 3 service breakfast every morning that would fill us up till dinner!
Hotel is quiet, no TVs, big living area to enjoy and a beautiful terrace where we had dinner one night on cheese, baguettes and charcuteries with one of the yummy wines we had bought on our excursion.
It is a 10-15 minute drive to Kelowna but we appreciated the peace and quiet of the residential area. Very close to Mission Hill, Quail's gate and the Hatch. The hosts are very knowledgable of the area and are quick to make sure you know where to eat or what to visit.
Do not hesitate to book here. But let's keep it a secret for our future visits ;)
Thanks Steve and Chrissy for such a warm welcome and stay.

We enjoyed our three nights at A View of the Lake. The room was comfortable, the view is fantastic (especially when blanketed with snow, which we were lucky enough to experience on our second day) and the hosts, Steve and Chrissy, are charming and thoughtful. The breakfasts were delicious and so generous that we didn't need to eat lunch. We will definitely visit again!

Our July 3 night stay was with 2 other groups - so we occupied 3 of the 4 bedrooms in the home. My wife and I stayed in the luxurious Grand View Suite - and grand it certainly is. Spectacular views of West Kelowna and across the lake to the city of Kelowna. Very comfortable bed and fully equipped bathroom.
Steve's daily breakfasts were superb, with a different offering each morning. Topped off with endless coffee and juice who could ask for more from a b&b? And not to be left out....Steve's witty banter always keeps you entertained.
The location is convenient to numerous wineries on the West Side, as well as shopping in West Kelowna. For dinner/drinks - the Friends pub (a longtime favorite of ours) is right at the bottom of the hill. The bridge to Kelowna is also nearby giving easy access to all of the Kelowna amenities and beaches.
Thanks so much for a great time, Chrissy & Steve (& Tia.) Looking forward to our next stay.

I happened to luck out finding this amazing BnB by chance as they had a cancellation and I am beyond happy I did. From the moment I checked in the owners, Steve and Chrissy, were wonderful and inviting. Steve made me feel welcome as if I has walked in to a family member's house. The property was beautiful with an amazing view from the patio, perfect during breakfast as well as reading on in the evening. The room was large, warm and inviting, including a full large bathroom with heated floors! The location is great, a few minutes off the highway but close enough to the highway to get where I needed to go. The three course breakfast served was AMAZING. Steve put so much thought and care into the food and Chrissy was wonderful and attentive with service and ensuring I had everything I needed from coffee, juice and ice cold mint water. The Wi-Fi was great throughout the whole house which was great as I had a lot of work to do. Chrissy and Steve treated me as if I was family throughout the whole stay, including making sure I said goodbye before leaving. I would not hesitate to stay here again on any trip to Kelowna. Photos include the three course breakfast and the view from the patio. Thank you again Steve and Chrissy!

This Bed & Breakfast exceeded our expectations! We loved sleeping in the most comfortable beds, we loved the incredible viewscapes (better than the website photos show) and then there were the breakfasts........... all done by a professional award winning chef. Sumptuous! Best of the best. The private entrance and spacious surroundings gave us the assurance that all was well and safe during this covid pandemic. We had alot of privacy as the owners live in a self contained suite in the lower level of the house. The B&B has a great location just a few minutes from downtown Kelowna as well as being so close to some of the best wineries and vineyards.

On my way from Vancouver to Calgary with a stop in the Okanagan I found this little gem. This place is conveniently located in the west side of Kelowna, gorgeous house, super clean, free parking, fast internet, very comfortable room with your own bathroom and amazing views of the Okanagan and the beautiful garden they have.
3 course, fresh hot breakfast cooked in the morning by chef Steve was delicious, it was the best breakfast I had in my entire trip :D. I wish I could have stayed longer but if I'm in the area again, I would stay there. I absolutely recomend this place. Excellent price for all you get. Thank you very much Steve and Chrissy.

What a gem! Just left after 3 days at A View of the Lake Bed & Breakfast and already missing it! Our hosts were extremely accommodating to our needs and made our stay so special. We were so impressed with our daily 3 course breakfast which was always a special treat. Rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable. Will certainly considering a return visit next time in the area.

Fantastic from start to finish. After a 9 hour drive we arrive to be greeted warmly by Steve and then ushered to the large covered balcony with a beautiful view of Okanagan Lake to relax and enjoy a choice of refreshments before going to our room. Relax and enjoy - that was the order of the day. Our room (the Lakeview Suite) lacked nothing - comfortable beds and chairs, beautifully decorated, and, best of all on a 34C day, air-conditioned. My wife has severe dietary restrictions and Steve navigated them admirably. Breakfasts were amazing and, thanks to Steve`s attention and knowledge, she could relax and enjoy them. Chrissy was a gracious host and made us feel right at home. Their British humor had a laughing throughout the visit. Only regret was we only booked two nights. We hope to spend more next year.

On arrival Steve greeted us warmly and poured us a glass of wine. We sat on their outdoor patio with panoramic unbroken views of Kelowna and Okanagan Lake while Steve engaged us in friendly conversation and answered all our local information needs.
Our spacious room with attractive decor and furnishings had a very comfortable six foot king sized bed, armchairs and large walk-in wardrobe. Bottles of water were provided bedside. The ensuite bathroom had luxurious fittings with a sizable shower cubicle. The communal fridge available downstairs was useful to store local wine purchased after our tastings.
Breakfast was simply fantastic. Steve, previously a professional chef, prepared a daily changing imaginative three course start to the day. Each dish was unique and offered a different twist on regular breakfast options including delicious pancakes, crepes and french toast. Chrissy serviced the tables with wit and friendly discussion. The warm morning sun enabled us to enjoy breakfast outside on the patio and take in the magnificent view. A large indoor lounge was available for all guests to relax and/or mix.
We found plenty to do in the locality and were spoiled for choice in visiting local wineries and excellent restaurants. The View Of The Lake more than met our expectations and proved to be the highlight of our 6 week trip.
