My wife and I stayed in an ensuite cabin at Explorers Caravan Park in Thargomindah in August 2016, for nine nights. The ensuite cabins are absolutely clean, quiet, well-appointed and comfortable, with everything you would ever need for a holiday in Thargomindah. Air conditioned (reverse cycle) for your comfort, and layout is like a bed-sit, with sitting area, dining table...

This park is really done well, the grounds are beautiful and green. We stayed in a "cabin" which are really a bit more like little self-contained motel units. They are really nice. For what you can pay for accommodation around Qld, these are well worth the money. There is a lovely little walk down to the river, well lit if...

Very well presented and absolutely wonderful managers, who couldn't do enough to help us out when our car broke down, they where very friendly and went out of their way to help us. The unit we stayed in was clean and tidy and contained everything we required so I am very happy to recommend the park to all who are...

Thargomindah may be a long way from nowhere; but this caravan park is equal to most I've visited in large cities. Probably because it's owned by the Bulloo Council. The managers here are worth there weight in gold - always polite, friendly and helpful (very easy going). The grounds and amenities block are large and always kept clean.

Clean park with great camp kitchen and spotlessly clean amenities. Warmly greeted on arrival and helped with an extra blanket even though I was camping. Highly recommend this caravan park. It is close to the river walk and only a stroll to the pub or shops. Great place to stay in Thargo.

We stayed overnight on a long drive through powered site. Amenities were clean and well maintained. The camp kitchen looked good although we did not use it. The manager was efficient and very informative about the local area. The park itself is council owned and quite new.

We spent 2 nights at Explorers as roads were closed in many directions. Very good facilities for a council owned park. Friendly helpful managers made our unplanned stay comfortable and pleasant. Would stay there again.

We are currently staying here and commend our Hosts Paul and Ide on running such a lovely Park. Their hospitality, the layout of the sites, and cleanliness of the amenities makes this one of the best parks in which we have stayed. The town of Thargomindah may be small but has a lot to offer, from it's new Visitors Centre...

This was definitely the best cabin we stayed in during our recent outback trip. The managers Paul and Ide were most welcoming and the caravan park is kept very clean and tidy. We also enjoyed the Bulloo River Walking Trail, the Hydro Power Plant Display and Leahy House. 'Coffee on Dowling' is the place to eat! Overall we were very...

Very clean park, close to town, good laundry, big and clean amenities. Camped on power. Unpowered sites could have a little campfire. Lovely welcome and reasonable price. Enjoyed our overnight stop, thanks :)
