Please note that my review is related to the restaurant only. Hotel Arvenbuel is a typical daytrip restaurant that gets rather busy on sunny days. In addition to the dining room, it boasts a large terrace which proves very popular among walkers and hikers. A great thumbs-up to Jana for her lovely service - smiling and efficient despite the busy...

This was our third summer visit back to the wonderful Hotel Arvenbuel in Amden, Switzerland. The location is spectacular, surrounded by mountains, high over Lake Wallensee, up in the high farm pastures with lovely Swiss cows making cow bell music. It's also off the beaten track, away from tourist crowds with lots of hiking and mountain biking trails in every...

Came with family with 0 expectations having not booked this "hotel" myself and was blown away! The beauty of the mountains is surreal and you get to wake up and stare at them every morning. I haven't slept better with cool, crisp mountain air and a wonderful down fluff over me in ages. Simple and spacious rooms. For those who...

This family owned hotel was most hospitable, comfortable, well located to great hiking areas and charming. Barbra Ruedi and her family run an efficient and friendly lodging. We stayed for 11 days with a small group of family members. Our rooms were comfortable, roomy with great views: two single beds with a living area , kitchen and balcony with breathtaking...

We booked at the last minute for a May weekend - and were delighted. Very friendly hotel staff, beautiful peaceful place, delicious food, large room, lots of hiking opportunities We're going again! Worth driving up above Amden - and definitely worth the 25 minute stroll to the Lookout Point for the view of the lake

We spent our skiing holidays at the Arvenbuehl Hotel. The spacious family room offered a great mountain panorama view and plenty of sun. Unfortunately the lackluster interior with old furniture, drab and soiled carpeting, poor lighting, a fridge in disrepair, missing WiFi and a terribly old TV left a bad impression and were not in line with the room price....

We ate here in May 2014 after a beautiful walk in Arvenbuel with our dogs. The hausbratwurst was delicious and the waiter Luigi was great and was happy to converse with us in English or German. The Hugo's were fantastic and the views lovely! We will return!
