My husband and I stayed here for a week just recently. The accommodations were excellent, the staff was wonderful. We didn't have a reservation and although they were extremely busy they did everything they could to accommodate us. Absolutely will go back!!!
If you want a more local feel that is quaint, cozy, and personable AND NOT touristy at all then THIS IS YOUR PLACE to stay! The staff is super friendly, accommodating, and caters to your needs. For instance, they booked our transportation to and from the hotel for us. Roberto, who is the manager, called all of our tours to confirm time and date as well as pickup! It’s a BEAUTIFUL hotel with an AMAZING pool. Personally, I’m a more of a pool person than a beach person, but being able to drive to the beach is super easy in this area. It’s called Seis Playas because you can drive to any of the 6 beaches in 15 minutes or so. Also, the FOOD and DRINKS are FANTASTIC!!! Jose is a local chef who is AMAZING and cooks everything to PERFECTION! This hotel offers local cuisine as well as a variety of your common foods. …
The service you get since the moment you get there and all along in the restaurant is just so wonderful, people is caring and sweet. Don Arturo has an incredible customer service! and the food is super affordable. I have used the place to stay there, although I live in the area, also to recommend to friends, I even did my wedding there and recommended to friends for activities, I am actually planning my next activity, or just to spend the day in the pool and have meals there!!!!!! Thank you all for such an amazing service!!!!
The hotel was empty at the time were there - we were staying several nights while awaiting car repair. Some of our requests were handled very well, but we asked for a discount since we needed a longer stay. Not granted. Also, we ended up having breakfast, normally included, at 10:30 AM because of other commitments. We were charged for the breakfast & asked for it to just be included like other days. Not granted. Maybe if a manager was there we could have had some of our requests handled.
We ended up booking seis playas the night of the reservation after having a terrible experience in another hotel nearby. This ended up being the best value of our entire trip, great pool, great breakfast and clean comfortable room with AC. Location was great to go to all beaches up and down the coast. We checked out 4 beaches around in one afternoon based on the proximity of the hotel to the coast. We would highly recommend this hotel!
This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The only way hung that may outdo the beauty is the incredible service. The manager Roberto is helpful, knowledgeable and proud of this resort. Dinner and bar service is brought to by Alberto who always has a smile and a friendly greeting. We were helped by Nancy (I might have her name wrong) to get our rental car. She really went above and beyond to make this an extremely easy process. The owner Rita is so friendly and is always available to answer all your questions. She is a true gem! All in all Hotel Seis Playas is a must! It’s a tranquil reprieve from busy Tamarindo but close enough that you can enjoy the town easily.
Our trip had some bumps along the way but the staff at Seis Playas went above and beyond to ensure our experience at their hotel was exceptional. Between the wonderful people running the front desk, the grounds keepers, the restaurant staff, the bartenders, the maids they made sure our trip ended with a smile. We have already recommended friends stay and this location and we will be back for sure.
The place is so peaceful. We feel like staying in our private resort! Everyone is so friendly and helpful and we feel like part of the family. The pool is warm and clean. The food is so delicious. They have the best cook in Costa Rica! My husband met the owner on the morning after our arrival and she asked about our flight. He told her that the airline damaged his luggage and he was kind of upset. The owner offered to give her own luggage box and delivered to our room the day before we leave! The staff in this hotel are so friendly and nice and we will definitely will come back!
A really great place to stay! Very clean and quiet with a very good restaurant on site. The rooms are like villas and very clean. The shower is hot and the room is cool—a great combination. The showers are large, including a “rain shower” head. There is a king size bed or two doubles and flat screen tv in all the suites. The on-site pool is huge and absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant has lots of space, a very good selection on the menu and breakfast is included—not the typical breakfast you get at most hotels, but a sit-down, table service meal cooked in the kitchen. The grounds are well kept and due to a recent renovation, there are about 20 more parking spaces available for the 26 rooms. Seis Playas Hotel has that wonderful Latin American feel to it with the service and conveniences of home, including WiFi. …
Great large pool, beautiful flowers everywhere, the rooms are spacious and the hotel is very clean all over. The restaurant was delicious and the staff are so friendly and most speak English. There’s a conference room that can be used for gatherings, weddings, meetings, etc. It’s outside Tamarindo but close enough to drive in for shopping then retreat back to the hotel. I highly recommend this place.
