Recommended venue for such an occasion. Evening meal in beautiful surroundings, inside and out. New chef with excellent, extensive pedigree, was The Savoy's head chef aged 32 years old around the time of the Millennium. Tutored under Albert and Michel Roux. Superb three-course meal. Menu offered something old and something with a taste of adventure. My husband's rare rib-eye steak...

Everything you'd expect from a charming English country hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were made welcome. We had a delightful room with king bed, french windows opening into the garden, and even a jacuzzi in the bathroom. Breakfast service (full English is great!) was a relaxing start to the day. Even if you don't stay overnight, if you're...

We were invited to a Sunday lunch for our mum and dads wedding anniversary. What a lovely place, the grounds are beautiful, the staff welcoming and efficient, especially our waitress Aga who looked after us so amazingly well. The room was decorated to our request and exceeded our expectations. The food was beautifully cooked and well presented. I would recommend...

We arrived on the Sunday afternoon of Mother's Day and were checked in to room 2 efficiently. The room was a good size and well appointed. We had an excellent bar meal and a relaxing evening in the bar we were also very impressed with the ambience and setting. However our room must have been situated over the kitchen and...

The restaurant has undergone an excellent renovation, it appears much lighter and arier. The menu choices are now inviting and varied and the staff most welcoming. I can recommend the fish pie which was full of prawns and scallops and quite delicious. My companions also rate the steak pie and the fish and chips. The desserts were tasty too. All...

On Saturday me and my family went to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. At 9 30 one of my family members got rushed into hospital and his son went with him, so at 10 we cancelled two people, we had booked the table for 3 30 for afternoon tea. When we arrived the table was set nicely, and we had...

Thank you for your feedback which we take extremely seriously as we are not in the business of making our customers experience an unhappy one In all cases we try to avoid any cancelation charges. Where it involves special menus, or afternoon tea for example these are produced solely for each individual event, and as such last minute changes are...

Friday 17th March. Only our second visit and we enjoyed it more than the pre-Christmas visit. We had a 2-course and a 3-course lunch with plenty of choice from a fixed price menu. Service was excellent from both ladies. Presentation of food very good as was quantity and quality. From the conservatory part of the restaurant, it is a very...

We took advantage of the afternoon tea deal. We were lucky enough to have Room 11 as there were 3 of us which is large and overlooks the pool with patio door access. The afternoon tea was plentiful and delicious as was breakfast. We will definitely be back as the evening menu looked delicious. Staff were wonderful. First class.

Very quaint looking sweet hotel, set in very nice grounds. but my room was very small. the shower cubicle was tiny for a corner unit. No bath in room and the man at desk checking me in didnt know if any other rooms had a bath nor if any were available.... Very odd response but I was tired from a...
