Stayed in superior room which looked towards the river at the back of the hotel. The room was clean and newly decorated but had french windows so quite hot unless the door was open. Had to shut it at night though, so quite warm. Food and the staff were absolutely excellent. Well worth eating in the restaurant, can highly recommend...

This is our second visit this year as we enjoyed our last visit so much. We were checked in by the same young man as last time and I'm afraid his attitude still lets the hotel down. Basically he just gives you the key and directs you to the room. The rest of the staff are so friendly it is...

Stopped off here on our bike tour of the pennines. This was the first night. Upon Arrival, I thought the place was a bit run down. It is quite an old quirky building and I think it has enjoyed being very successful in the past. We had beers on the terrace, which is very relaxing and very quiet. Our room...

Booked a last minute 'secret escape' deal for a two night stay B&B with Dinner on the first evening at the bargain price of £156.00 for 2 adults. We were given a superior room which was lovely -spacious and clean with a good sized bathroom. This room had a great balcony that overlooked the cricket pitch. The evening meal was...

Arrived at the hotel late afternoon and found that the room with a balcony that we had booked was not available due to a mix up and we were given a garden room overlooking the cricket pitch. Being in our mid 70's we found the walk up the steps a bit of a bind but the room itself was excellent....

I stayed here recently with my son on a fishing trip and arrived with no expectations. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who checked us into our room. We had a twin room, garden view. The view from the room was perfect, ground floor, over looking the cricket pitch and river, it was comfortable and had everything...

Me and my partner recently stayed at the Riverdale Hall Hotel for 2 nights as a break for our anniversary and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. We arrived early before check in and the lady at reception couldn't have been more friendly and helpful so much so that after only a 15minute wait at the bar our room was...

Great location in peaceful picturesque setting. Friendly and efficient service by reception staff. However, rooms were very drab, old and dated. Some areas of the room were very dusty and walls so thin that we changed rooms as those next door to us were in considerably noisy. Overall, a functional room but not much more.
