We arrived later than we wanted due to flight delays. It was pouring rain and dark but the well lit sign gave us plenty of notice to turn.. I did not realize that it was up so high but we made it. We had supper in the restaurant and it was very good, as was the breakfast. Th

Factory making fiberglass boats right next door. All through the day we suffered the acrid stench of curing fiberglass (epoxy) resin - certainly one of the least natural or outdoorsy smells. The entire pool area and area by the "spa" bungalows were affected by this stench.

This place ticked all the boxes for us. The views, the comfort and we were secluded from other guests. I liked that the wifi only worked in the dining area. We enjoyed our breakfasts and you could either choose to dine in which isn’t cheap but the meals are generous in portion an

Is the beach easy enough to reach from this accomodation? :)
Hi, The Vanira Lodge is on a hill top. You would need to drive down. (You will need a car when you are staying there and I do recommend you have it!). There is a little beach on the other side of the road when you drive downhills. Do not count on bathing at that one. There is another beach that I think it is called Maui Beach. They will help you with information about it at the hotel.

Hi, Just wondering about car hire from the Cruise Port to the hotel and rental for 1 week. What companies are there available and how do I get this organised. Thanks.
We used a car and driver (arranged by my companion as a surprise) but Europcar hire cars and rates were reasonable- hired on Huahine and saw them on Tahiti

Is there public transportation from the harbor in Papeete to your Lodge?
I'm not aware of any public transportation that goes out that far. It may exist, but I never saw it during our stay. We rented a car, and it was well worth it. Whatever you do, make sure you stay at this place. And it's simply amazing.
