Lovely stay. Very clean comfortable rooms with extra pillows and plenty of tea and coffee. Only downside was the noise from the extractor fan outside window which woke us up early but no noise in night. Would stay again but not in room 4

From the first meeting to the day after the wedding, Sharon and her team were there to help guide us with there knowledge and experience to make it...

I chose Alison House Hotel as the venue for our mother's 90th Birthday party after the experience using the hotel on two previous occasions. Great hotel with lovely staff in a fantastic location. Spent 3 nights there with my family and we couldn't ask for a better welcome. Cromford offers a number of great places to eat if you want to venture further than the hotel.

Stayed here for two nights with my daughter, boyfriend and my partner for his mums 90th Birthday meal on Saturday 8th April. The rooms are very dated and there was blue toilet cleaner left around the toilet in our room. The meal on the party night was the worse we have ever had - poor service, terrible food, vegetables were...

We went for three days and were a little concerned that as the reviews were so good, but the cost so reasonable - there must be a catch? Well there wasn't! We had the Arkwright suite which was large and comfortable, albeit a little plain, with the associated bathroom as large as many hotel bedrooms. So would the food be...

We had a really lovely nights stay. The room was spacious with en suite. The weather was lovely and we sat outside for drinks before going to Matlock for the evening. Our stay was really relaxed and the welcome was very friendly. We had a beautiful breakfast the morning afterward cooked to order. All in all it was one of...
