Went for a meal with my wife and had an exceptional night out. All the staff were attentive to our every need, showing just how it should be done. Good food and drinks served promptly, politely and beautifully. We will definitely be returning, I hear their Sunday roasts are something to shout about too. It is really nice to write...

Calling yourself a boutique hotel and rooms as "deluxe", means that you are giving an expectation, maybe advertising "basic rooms above pub" wouldn't be sexy, but at least it would be the truth. This is what you get in reality and having asked the duty manager on departure what exactly was deluxe about the room she could not give one...

Discovered this Restaurant about two years ago, and have to say it was the best find ever !! Lovely restaurant, attentive waiting staff without being overly intrusive. Fantastic menu !! Need I say more? They do offer live entertainment at the weekend I believe, but haven't yet been on one of those evenings. So far we have dined midweek, and...

We were taken to the Blue Boar with our friends on Saturday and what a great evening. The staff were so professional, warm, friendly and beautifully presented. It was very busy, but the atmosphere was calm. The food is just excellent, such a great menu and the quality and taste was amazing. I had the Smoked Salmon & Crab, Linguine...

Thanks to all the staff at The Blue Boar, Abridge, I had a fantastic evening there last night to celebrate my 50th birthday. Visited in December 2015 for the Elvis Christmas theme night. It was such a good evening the entertainment at atmosphere was excellent. There was a extensive Christmas menu which is quite unusual for Christmas meals. All three courses were great and the service was excellent.

Have been to Blue Boar a few times to the restaurant for sunday lunch and lunch and evening meals. Always had a lovely time. Had booked with a party of about 50 for our Christmas party night again in the restaurant. Arrived at about 7 and were seated immediately. We didn't have to pre-order our food as some restaurants require...

Had a last minute booking for an early dinner and was really pleased we did! Great night and great service! Value for money and a varied menu. Cocktails at the bar before we sat down! The place also has some rooms based on a boutique style. Well worth a visit.

We booked a one night stay at the Blue Boar, very welcoming village and lovely inviting pub. We stayed in room 3. Which had very "loud" turquoise decor. The housekeeping left a lot to be desired, however the bedding was immaculate as were the towels, but the bathroom was grubby. I was uncomfortable using the bathroom. We paid. £100 room...

I visited the Blue Boar with my family, a party of seven. The staff were friendly, professional and polite. The food was cooked to perfection and definitely not overpriced. There is plenty of parking and it's very easy to find. I will definitely return to this fantastic establishment.
