When reviewing this B&B it is hard to judge where to start as everything about it was perfect. The B&B is located in a lovely village, with a choice of walks around the fresh countryside. The room was nice, cosy and quiet, with small personal touches that added to the experience. The tea making facilities did not disappoint with a...

This is a very nice place to stay : large common room, excellent breakfast and high degree of hospitality. Janet and Ian are excellent hosts and can give interesting suggestions for hiking in the area.

If B&B is judged on i) comfort of the bed; ii) choice and quality at breakfast; iii) plenty of instant hot water; and iv) cleanliness, then this scores 10 / 10 for all four. In this case you then need to add to that warmth of the welcome from Janet & Ian; the availability of a guest sitting area with...

The first thing that struck me about my stay at Crown Cottage was the lovely warm welcome I received - on my arrival Janet got me a cup of tea and plate of biscuits and sat chatting to me for the best part of an hour. The room I stayed in was nice and cosy with the lovely touch of...

Probably the best B&B I've ever stayed in. Clean, well furbished, the room was a great size and the couple that run it are very friendly. Would highly recommend. Just note that the B&B is in Eyam, although this (and my sat nav) said Hope Valley. It was a shame because in researching places to stay before hand I was...

This was our first visit from London to the Peak District and Crown Cottage proved to be the best place to start from. Eyam is a lovely little village full of character and history. The Crown Cottage is in a superb location, next to the newly opened Eyam Hall (National Trust) and you can walk straight up to the moors...

We found our stay at Crown Cottage comfortable and pleasant. It is located in a beautiful part of the Peaks, in Eyam. We were warmly welcomed by Ian and Janet, who also explained to us the fascinating history of Eyam, and the role it played in the Plague! The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. The...

We stayed here for one night during a brief visit to the area en route to the Lake District from London. Janet and Ian are very welcoming and gave us lots of tips about places to visit in the area. Eyam itself is well worth a visit, and of you're heading there definitely stay here! Breakfast was delicious, and Janet...

We stayed here for three nights in early May and had a really nice stay. The owners were friendly and their local knowledge made our stay really special. Breakfast was tasty. The rooms were comfortable and clean and to be honest I can't really find fault with the place at all.
