This homestay is the best experience we could have had during our stay in Nepal with our family including our two boys (age 9 and 10). We fell in love with the Chitwan region and this little village just outside the touristic bubble of Sauharo. It started with a relaxed ride with the ox car after 6 hours in a...

Me and my brother where in Kathmandu and wanted a place to stay for the night so we could visit the Chitwan national park, we looked on Trip for a place to stay and found this place relying on the rating without looking to much into the information, I called the number and indicated that we would be 2 persons...

If you like your fancy hotels, then this is not the place for you. If however you want to get away from those things and enjoy an authentic experience immersed in the village culture, then this is the place for you. You can do everything you would otherwise do in the Chitwan region, but based in a village not far...

Our visit began with a slight mix up on the pick up, but all was sorted and we were welcomed as family into this wonderful Tharu village. We learnt the way of life of the villagers, how to cook a dhal baat and best yet, came away with new friendships. Witnessed the birth of new goats too! A pleasant surprise....

I feely so fortunate to have discovered this project. We stayed 4 months ago and we still reminisce about the wonderful experience we had. We found Tharu 20for7 on trip advisor and there were only a few reviews, so looked up more detail on the project on their own website. The experience started as soon as we arrived at the...

We stayed at Tharu 20for7 for 3 nights in spring 2013 and it was a highlight of our trip to Nepal. From the first moment we were picked up by Sukram and his ox-cart to the moment we had to say goodbye to everyone we had a totally unique experience and insight into the daily lives of the people in...

The experience already starts when you get of the bus. Instead of a car, an oxcart is waiting to bring you to the village. The village is a little paradise of tranquillity. As soon as we arrived, we felt right at home. During our stay, we were invited to a wedding party. The women of the village helped us to...

As somebody else has already written, we would like to keep this guesthouse a well kept secret so it will never lose it's soul but on the other hand we wish this village project every possible success so that the community can slowly improve its living conditions! Gothauli is a small peaceful village in the beautiful plains of Nepal right...
