we stayed at this lovely campground the 20th to 24th of July and think we had the best site in the whole park, #9, we had the whole field to look out upon and a lovely spot to have a yappy little dog....we would recommend this campground to anyone that want to sit and relax or go over and play golf across the road. the water was a little high at the river so we did not sit down there which we thought we might be able to do but i think once the water subsides it will be a nice place to sit. it was nice for floates to float down the river though. the campground was very well kept and clean but unable to use washrooms, showers or laundry fortunately we were fully equipped with our motorhome. we will stay there again.

Cozy little rv site between the highway and the kettle river. Clean and quiet sites with a play area for the kids. Stairs down to the river for those adults who want to sit on a chair and let the day float by. Bonnie and Gary are super friendly host and make guests and their pets feel very welcome.

I came here last spring and it’s gorgeous! The open field is a beautiful space and the store is really nice. Really clean bathrooms and showers and each lot has a spacious patio. Also the staff are the nicest people and so are the rest of the campers.

Having made a reservation, arriving full of anticipation for fishing, gold panning, golfing and numerous other activities with my 8 year old grandson...what a Disappointment with a capital "T". with no effort to accommodate what we understood we were booking. No masks in the reception area by workers or management, being from Alberta I thought the bylaw was passed to mask in a public place. Asked about gold panning, fishing so on, they did not know what I was talking about. Didn't realize it is on the web site and said it would have to be removed. The service was terrible. With no people skills the manager of this park is absolutely not qualified to manage. No sewer hook up and the restrooms closed indefinitely due to too muck work or money to keep them up to Covid standards. Having stayed 2 days out of 3 we departed due to our small holding tanks being full hoping that the 3rd days rate would go towards a fund to open the restrooms. I definitely do not recommend this park for family camping and if the camp does not keep you awake as there is no noise bylaw, the highway certainly will Harry Bargen Alberta

Girlfriend and I decided to stay at this RV park based on claims made by their website. This place needs to update their site, as fishing was completely prohibited, not even catch and release at this time of year. I’m not a very experienced angler, so I probably wouldn’t have caught much anyways… But taking the time to pack fishing gear and anticipating enjoying some relaxing ‘casting and reeling in’ only to find out it’s completely prohibited was definitely a disappointment.
When we inquired about gold panning, as we also brought gold pans and other panning gear, we were met with a quizzical look. Who composed the information on their website? Certainly not anybody staffing the place. Combine the above with swarming clouds of tiny black bugs that get in your eyes, up your nose, and just the plain bothersome sensation of them crawling on your skin, and this place was a big let down.
I should mention we’re not complete newbies. We did bring bug spray which did not seem to work against these bugs. They didn’t bite, but at times, without a breeze, they were everywhere. Oh yeah, did I mention every single bathroom was locked, and the staff would not unlock them? I would caution anyone to phone up, and get solid answers to anything you plan to do at this site before you make a booking. I for one will never go back.

We tented at this campground, and I was expecting the usual... (Crowded dirty sites, hordes of screaming children, and nasty bathrooms) We were pleasantly surprised to discover this campground had none of that! The tent sites had lush green grass (comfy and beautiful), there was LOTS of space in between them, the grounds were quiet, and the facility had very clean washrooms. As the campground is right off the Kettle River, they actually have a shuttle to take you floating, and only ask for $1/person to offset fuel costs! The owners were super friendly. (After we asked if they had any BBQ sites, they actually delivered one right to our tent!!) Do NOT go to the nearby provincial campground - you will have a much better time here!

We spent three nights here and accept for the rainy evening and day they were great. They have beaufiful clean showers and laundry room, well equiped store/office, grounds are beautiful, grass, trees, playground, also a large covered tent where you could have a family reunion/gathering. The only thing we wished we had was a fire pit at our site. They do have fire pits down by the river but if you wanted to sit by your RV and roast a hot dog you can't, you would have to pack everything up and take it to the fire pits by the river (a bit of a walk) which is a beautiful area as well. That is our only complaint. We enjoyed the golf course across the highway, so close you can walk it.

My wife and I have been camping in this location since 2005 - we spend at least 1-2 weeks at the end of Aug here. Right across the highway from the Kettle Valley Golf club. We get golf packages every time we stay. Our anniversary is on Sept 3 so I always manage to get my pride and joy (bless her) out to one of the local restaurants for our dinner. Couple of times the cafe at the Rock Creek Motel was our choice but it mysteriously burnt down, we have also gone to Osoyoos and to Grand Forks but the last time we choose to go to the newly formed diner at Greenwood Hotel, all of these locations are within driving distance from the campsite. The baseball tournament held in GrandForks is also a plus so there is always plenty to do. We have driven some of the back roads in the area and they too have been well worth the time and effort. The campsite however has now decided to lease many of the sites out to regular customers so that tells you something about the facility, there are many that come back here on a regular basis and if I could afford to do that I would leave my 5th wheel there also, the sites are large, at least 5-6 showers and just as many toilet facilities even though one can hook up to water and sewer. Bonnie and Gary (owners) are former Surrey residents who have chosen to open not only their hearts but their home location too. Pets are allowed we usually bring our two dachshunds with us and they often have the opportunity to run freely in one of the large fields with "Scubby" the owner's dog. At night time the stars are plentiful and absolutely breath taking, the howl of coyotes and the odd black bear roaming in the hills also adds to the decor.....their store is fairly well equipped so I really can not find anything negative about this location other than the fact the the usually site we have had for 4 years has now been leased out but the other locations in the park are all fairly good so - no problem - you might find the semi truck noise at nighttime a little disturbing but they pass by on the highway fairly quickly. All I can say to anyone else is give it a try, ------ oh by the way to the camper that took my "special agent FBI ATF" hat which I obtained from the FBI (extremely rare in Canada) - don't let me catch you wearing it - we will have words.

We have spent a couple of weekends camping here and felt very welcomed and at home. Our first weekendas we were setting up camp my husband was stung 3 times in a matter of an hour. The owners were great they gave us some anti bite and set up to wasp nests....fortunately wasps are bad only every few years this ws one of those years. We enjoyed our time there so much we have now leased a spot for 2013.

We stayed for 3 nights over the Labor Day long weekend and it was awful! Let me say that the rules that are given on the back of the map at check in are lengthy, however no one follows them! We were embedded within a circle of annually parked RV's and these folks don't care about the rules. They stayed up way past the 10:30 PM quiet time around their propane fire pits well past 1 AM all 3 nights. Saturday night, the owners put a party together with the worst music ever and the music lasted past 11:30 PM. The crew across from us came back so drunk they yelled, swore and carried on until 2:00 AM. No music at any time rule, out the window by the owners, Pets on leash at all times, nope not for the annual guys, dogs running around all over the place with no leash. Highway noise, party noise, ridiculous ol' folks yelling about being so good looking, ladies fall on their knees in bars. Wow, never going back, do not recommend unless you sleep like the dead. The only plus was clean bathrooms, showers and a good store. That's it, everything else was bad for again, not a permanent/annual site.
