I've been going to The Farmers for five or six years. The rooms are always clean - they have good en-suites and plenty of hot water and a powerful shower. The value for money is unbeatable. The pub if friendly - Colin and Jackie a great couple who are welcoming and make you feel at home. A good range of...

Excellent value room, with ensuite facilities - nice and warm given the bitter weather - substantial portions for bar meals and good range of vegetarian options as well as a wide choice of "proper" food. Foxy Blonde and Landlord cask ales were served well and went down a treat. Well located near, but not on, the A75 Gretna-Dumfries and convenient...

We were down bird watching and decided to stay at the Farmers Inn - only place to stay or eat in the village. Not expensive and the accommodation is good basic level - clean, spacious, plenty of storage and loads of hot water from excellent shower, able to park right outside the door of our room. Very convenient for Castle...

Stopped here for an evening meal and were greeted by friendly staff. Plenty of choice on the menu and we weren't disappointed. Portions were huge and of good quality and value. Big choice of desserts also, but we were so full we shared one between us. A great traditional pub.
