Village Nottingham not up to standards of other village hotels I have visited. Staffing wise very low in numbers and noise could be heard clearly from other rooms. Came away for a quiet weekend and unfortunately room placed opposite very noisy group however could not even find someone in the hotel to speak to about this.

Very clean, nice hotel, public house provides comfort food with good prices and restaurant meals are exceptional (grilled tandoori prawns just divine). Great leisure centre opened very early, which allows to swim in the morning.

Room furnishing & decor made a comfortable stay. Didn't fancy the self check-in, like when you go to the supermarket. The receptionist was extremely polite, chatty & efficient. The only downside was the loud conversation by chambermaids outside my room first thing in the morning.

Restaurant service was poor, one staff member all night, told no cocktail ingredients but then could have in the public house later on, also ran out of most foods, manager rude when confronting about drinks that wasn't a customers problem, wouldn't eat in here again

We booked this hotel on an offer and had a brilliant time at a good price. The rooms were clean and tidy and the swimming pool lovely. The nature reserve is a short walk from the hotel and there is plenty to see nearby.

I really like the Village hotels and stay all over. But why do they let themselves down continually!!! Ordering food should be simple yet they can't get it right! The gym and the layout is amazing but the small things don't work! Shame!
