If you go to tampat do aman there is no reason to go back home or elsewhere... The host is super friendly and very helpful. The beaches at the tip of Borneo are super clean and there are hardly no guests, so we could walk on the beach for two hours without meeting anybody else. The food at the tip...

Tampat Do Aman is not only a great place to experience the dense jungle, traditional style house, and sustainable tourism. By staying here you also support plenty of important projects that Howard carries around Rungus village. These include nature conservation and community development (among others) so give some support! The beach is truly amazing, undisturbed and relaxing. Just use some...

We loved staying in Tampat do Aman! The hotel in the middle of the jungle is stunning and going to sleep or waking up with the bird sounds was very nice! They have the best price of the region, as per we've searched and the rooms are siple, nice and clean. Also, the open-air showers were different and we loved...

We stayed for two nights and Tampat Do Aman and had a brilliant time here. The setting is incredible; between pristine jungle and undiscovered kudat coastline, Howard has created a wonderfully friendly and peaceful travellers retreat. Kudat feels very much like an unexplored area of Sabah; if you want to go somewhere a bit off the map that is peaceful...

It is very rare that with all the glossy hip words of sustainable, ecological, supporting the local economy and balance, can be created by buzz words, however Tampat Do Aman complies with every worthy above statement. what an extraordinary experience of sleeping under the most glorious stars in a traditional Rungus longhouse in the jungle, cycling to the sea for...

I had a great night at Tampat do Aman. Howard, the owner is a really friendly guy who does great work for the locals and the area. I stayed in a room in the Longhouse and really enjoyed the open showers! The toilets are ecofriendly, without a flush, but that is not a big deal (even though I got a...

I stayed in the long house for 3 nights and greatly enjoyed it. The rooms are comfortable, great mattresses, clean, a bit dark (bigger light bulbs would do the job) and very quiet. I loved the sound of nature, specially at night. Breakfast is serve on served on site at the small restaurant by 2 sweet ladies. The concept is...

A relaxing place to pass a few days. Simple chalets with ceiling fan and well set up mosquito net - four poster bed style, and a big veranda. Chalets well built with mosquito screens. Also other seating areas with hot water and drinking water. There is a Rungus museum on the property. All in a jungle setting. The Rungus cafe...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome friends. At the Tip of Borneo lies an Eco resort and jungle camp called Tampat Do Aman. In the local Rungus language this means "a place of friends".We are located by the only road that leads to this phenomenally beautiful coastline that stretches from the Tip of Borneo 10km to the south, incorporating eight of the best beaches Sabah has to offer. The area really is a jewel in the crown of Sabah. In Tampat Do Aman Tip of Borneo you will find : A Jungle camp (Traditional Rungus long House), A beach front restaurant and Bar (“Tip Top”) and an activities center. If you are a nature lover like us then there is lots to do here in Tip of Borneo. Our activities center offers bicycles and snorkeling gear for rent. There are different trekking and night tours happening and you can even take a course in Jungle Survival. ... more   less
