Booked this hotel as the reviews looked good but the bad ones I read did point out a few things which we encountered . In my opinion you should take on board what I have to say - 1- The minibus ride from the airport took around 2 hours and it’s a rough ride in a small minibus with hardly any air conditioning. I would take a taxi if you can as leg room is tight. 2- There was a lack of umbrellas on the pool sites and in the beach which caused us big problems as I’m not an early riser and when I went out everything had been taken. You definitely need shade here as it’s very hot ! They should supply more umbrellas as a matter of urgency. 3- Bar waiting times were really bad some times with just no staff present and this was very frustrating. 4- Our room was lovely but a very bad musty smell inside due to the bathroom having dampness and the paint peeling away. No room should look like that in this resort. 5- There is a class system here where the Diamond and Hideaway people can book the restaurants before you if you’re in the main block. The seating in the main buffet has special seating for these people as well so that felt weird. 6- Room service food is extremely limited and you are not allowed to order alcohol to your to your room. 7- There is a beach but is a bit rocky and it’s the Atlantic sea not the Caribbean 8 - When we went down a bit late the towels had run out in several occasions but we did manage to get some later . 9- The gift shop is extremely expensive so make sure you buy the vital things before you come here eg - Pringles are $10 and drugs at least $40 for something g I would pay a few pounds in the UK - Beware !! GOOD THINGS 1- Staff are wonderful and friendly 2- Entertainment in the day and especially the evening is excellent. 3- The food is outstanding here. 4- The gardens and areas look lovely. 5 - Big spacious room. 6- Great trips So basically I have put all the points which you take on board. We enjoyed our stay here but so much more could be done here to make it a 5*…

Second time for us to visit this wonderful hotel !! Vibe team are awesome shout out to Kisha, Melanie,Stephan, Shane , veejay & Zak you all work really hard & made our holiday memorable. Restaurants are so tasty. our favourites were gratzi lovely waitress named Janet in there , & a waiter but didn’t get his name sadly , Zen restaurant is so much fun our chef clent was amazing , best beef& shrimp I have ever tasted !! Hunters steak house is also very good . Our room was cleaned to a high standard every day & our mini bar topped up every day . Only fault I have second time visiting is the pool wasn’t as clean as it was last year lots of broken & missing tiles in it & the pool cleaner wasn’t cleaning it every day seemed like it was every other day . What a lovely resort this is, everyone is so friendly, they really make each guest feel like a VIP, it couldn’t have been more perfect. Really happy with mine and my wife’s stay, will definitely look to come here again. Entertainment on every night, the pools are spacious enough and quiet enough for your own time so it feels like your own private pool, they provide beach towels for free which is a massive bonus. Sonny is your man for the top pool bar, he knows how to make a good cocktail and make you feel welcome. Too many to name in the restaurants but the service was excellent every night, plenty to offer food wise and was always cooked to perfection! The resorts beach is beautiful, I could sit there for hours looking at the view, you don’t get that sort of view on a postcard, looks like a painting before your very eyes. The transfer from the airport to the hotel is probably the worst bit as after a long flight it does feel like it drags but once you settle in and take in the sights on the way then it’s not all bad. All in all would highly recommend staying at the royalton, I know I will be coming back here again, thank you to everyone for making my stay so lovely!…

We have just returned from an amazing 10 night stay at the Royalton St Lucia. We stayed in the diamond club family room with ocean view, building 7. The resort is absolutely stunning and very well maintained. The rooms are very spacious, and we had plenty of space for a family of 3. We particularly liked the diamond club pool and bar area where we spent most of our time as it's private, well shaded, and perfect to relax as a family as it is less busy. The restaurants are excellent and serve fresh and tasty food. Our favourites were the Tex Mex and West Indian Cusine! What made our trip so special was our wonderfully attentive butlers - Nikita and Carla. They were there for us every step of the way and helped us with a range of things from ensuring we got restaurant reservations at the times we wanted to attending to our daily needs like serving us drinks at the beach and pool area. I would highly recommend choosing the diamond club package for this reason alone as everything you need is just one message away, which allows you to just relax. A couple of minor cons of the resort were that some of the restaurants didn't have AC, which was uncomfortable in humid weather, and also the room service needs improvement as orders were often sent incorrectly. I would recommend bringing local cash from home as the resort has only one cash machine that was out of service for a few days of our stay and caused issues when we needed cash. Wow, what can I say. What a resort. Very big resort, every thing you could ask for. I was honeymooning with my wife and were in Diamond club. I thoroughly recommend the upgrade, think it is well worth it. We were assigned the brilliant Butler’s Shadrach and Kurtney, who helped us with anything from booking dinner reservations to getting us a drink. As like every staff member we encountered at the resort, very friendly, calm, chilled and attentive. All the restaurants on side brilliant on the resort especially Calypso, buffet was useful for breakfast each day. Our room was stunning with a pool, which was very useful. Enjoyed the odd day on the beach, early on in our break. As a couple prefer sunbeds and pools. Lots of pools around the resort. Only downside would be the occasional beach seller, but very few of them. The beach is sectioned off to Diamond club and Hideaway guests. I think there is enough space for many despite what i’ve read review wise. Diamond club was quieter and good service waiting on us and guests. Nightlife and local entertainment was well received especially steel band. Drinks were great, server Jefferson was great. Coffee shop and ice cream was one of our favourite places on the resort. Excursions booked on the beach and through the hotel were fantastic, especially the mud baths and sunset cruise. All and all what a honeymoon, which we both enjoyed immensely. The presidential suite at the Royalton was as advertised. An amazing suite with two large bedrooms for the family of five. Genevieve and Rornel were our two personal butlers who made sure everything was perfect and taken care of. Their attention to detail was amazing. To say they went above and beyond is understatement. In addition to our butlers, all of the staff was fantastic. From room service through the bellmen. Everything was great. Facilities and pools. Highly recommended.

My wife and myself stayed at the Royalton, St Lucia for 2 weeks in Feb 2023 and found it to be a fantastic place that was difficult to fault! One of the small issues is the 2 hour drive from the airport to the hotel which winds its way through the island and if you are prone to travel sickness then you won’t enjoy it! Once at the hotel checkin is seemless and we got to our room quickly and ended up in block 2 with a nice view of the sea ROOM - very nice indeed with plenty of space and it comes with a shower and also a bath in the middle of the room which was different. Tea and coffee making facilities as you would expect plus a fridge with soft drinks, water and beer in it plus as I mentioned a view out to sea from our balcony POOLS - there are several pools, all of which have plenty of room around them so unless you don’t get down there until after lunch then you will always find a subbed. Two of the pools have a swim up bar and we spent most of our time either at the beach pool or on the beach itself which I will come on too. There is also a waiter service ever 15 minutes so you don’t even have to leave your sunbed BEACH - the beach is absolutely stunning as it is a private beach solely for guests and again there is plenty of room so finding a sun bed was not an issue. There are water sports on the beach plus another bar and the entertainment team do different events throughout the day. The waters are pretty clear with plenty of fish to see so take some bread from the restaurant to feed them! RESTAURANT - the food in the main restaurant is fantastic and probably the best buffet food I have ever come across in any hotel, with the choice being ridiculously good every day so zero to complain about there! There are also several speciality restaurants which are also pretty good too and come as part of the package GYM - the gym is very good with 50 kg dumbbells which is very rare for a hotel gym however sadly the resort had flash floods a couple of weeks before we arrived so a lot of the treadmills were out of action however you could see it was a well stocked gym. There is a spa next to the gym and the wife usually treats herself but didn’t this time as it was too expensive TRIPS - TUI had many trips available and they were well organised and reasonably priced so I would recommend going to the welcome meeting on the first full day as you get a good idea of what is on offer STAFF - as you would expect they were all very friendly and did their best to make everyone feel welcome and as we didn’t have anything to complain about I can’t really comment on their customer service 🤷♂️ All in all The Royalton really is a great hotel with very little to fault and if I was going to be picky the only thing I would add would be putting in a coffee machine by the beach bar because if you don’t want alcohol or soft drinks then you have to walk 200 yards back to the coffee shop in the lobby. I thoroughly enjoyed my 7 night stay at the Royalton Saint Lucia. I want to specifically shout out Tashael and Natasha as they both made sure I was okay and comfortable all through out my stay. Their service was amazing from our first night when we were greeted with refreshing beverage to our last night when we were given a bottle of rosè to enjoy. Rawle and Gibson, and Bell (from the gym) and the team at the Spa were also very great. I thoroughly enjoyed the gym classes and spa service. I went for a Swedish massage and a reflexology massage. There's a daily aqua aerobics class which seemed really fun. I would suggest going on a few excursions to see the beauty of the island. Otherwise if you do decide to stay at the resort, there's lots of fun things to do to keep you entertained. I am looking forward to coming back for the carnival next year …

Positives: - looks beautiful - lovely bay setting giving the beach privacy - generally very friendly, welcoming staff -good trips around the Island by boat from nearby Rodney Bay or by car from here - some free watersports included -best restaurants are Zen and Hunters steakhouse, others restaurants are just ok/average. - good buffet selection and pastries and desserts are amongst the best we have had at any resort. - excellent coffee shop and with really good ice cream - some good evening shows on the main stage, and singers in the main bar Negatives: -Opposite end of the island to the airport (2 hours) -diamond club can book tables and sometimes you can’t get into your restaurant of choice without a long wait -Beach music is VERY noisy often - so not ideal if you want to chill at the beach. You have to use earphones or go to a pool. This is such a shame and easily remedied! -beach is not that big and has been sub-divided, giving hide-away guests (adults only) a section, and diamond club a section. This limits seating for everyone else and it can be tricky to get shade. -room cleaning is hit and miss. Often don’t replenish basics such as the mini-bar or coffee, and you have to call reception. Not on the same level as places such as Mexico. Hotel management could easily remedy this if they want to. -room service food selection is just ok - not as good as other resorts we have been to. However, they do breakfast in room service which is good. - they sometimes run out of things (buffet didn’t have bacon one day.) This is a lovely friendly resort but could get better than a 4 out of 5 with some simples changes by the management.…

There are 3 parts to this resort hideaway, diamond club and the rest are the royalton, that is the pecking order at this hotel. So when it comes to meal times , the people at the royalton can not book a restaurant until the upper class have finished. They also have access to higher branded drinks, I can understand this as they pay a little extra , but the food no . The shop on the complex is well overpriced, so for $30 you can get a taxi to Rodney bay shopping mall and get snacks and other things cheaper. They have an entertainment schedule for a week and is then repeated the next week. This hotel is a hotel that doesn’t have a beach party ( shame)
