Ah man I loved this place!! I've only been in NZ for a week, but this is by far my favorite place. Their cabins are so perfect. #9 has the best view. Everyone here is very friendly and you are a stones through away from the Abel Tasman trail entrance. Also, make sure you get a pizza from the Park...

We hired a double bed cabin and were most impressed with the cleanliness and styling which makes this very small space very workable. We were glad to park right next to our cabin and to have easy access to kitchen and utility block. The Barn clearly understands their host obligations and is aiming way above other similar properties for service...

We went here for the beginning and end of our Abel Tasman Great Walk Trip and booked online ahead of time. This caused the first few troubles because we changed our plans and thus our booking, which they didn't get right away - ok, no problem! But when i asked for a confirmation email I did not receive one and...

I stayed here the night prior to walking the Able Tasman. It's right at the start of it which is handy but a busy spot too. I stayed on a double cabin. Very basic and clean and comfortable. A bit pricey though but they clearly have enough people staying here. Options to camp and some teepee type tents too. The...

Ronda runs a tight ship, but this results in The Barn being a well-functioning, sociable and clean hostel and campsite. All the staff were very friendly, all the basic amenities were there. The kitchen was a little small and very busy at meal times, although the large benches and tables give it a community feel when everyone sits down to...

Nice views, clean chalets and amazing location. Situated next to the Abel Tasman and sits end of one of the most popular walking tracks. We ended up here due to availability more than anything else and we were so glad we did, because the area is beautiful (less town like than motueka). There are two big shared kitchens but we...

We are an older couple travelling with a small tent, we checked out the other sites and decided that the barn was best suited to us for size and location. It's very much a young persons site and the camp kitchen reflected this. Showers are great clean and hot. The site is minutes from the start of the main track,...

I stayed there for 3 nights in a mixed shared bedroom and had really a good time. The room was clean and everything looked new. There was only one bunk bed in the room and the rest of us had a normal bed. The kitchen was big enough for all the people but only had one toaster (why?). Toilets and...

Arrived here on the Stray bus in January, and was really pleasantly surprised with the shared accommodation. Rooms were big, beds were comfortable and the whole area was just beautiful! The staff here were amazing and super friendly. The kitchen area did get a little crowded at dinner time, and the showers did also get really busy at peak times....

Positives: many individual showers, parking, location (excellent), sports facilities, friendly people. Negatives: no dry areas in shower rooms so basically have to get your kit off outside in the campsite then enter with no items, can be quite noisy, campsite lost our booking (but still managed to find us a wee spot)
