First time poster but use tripadvisor as, well an an advice site. We were travelling up to Newport and i was looking for a place on the way that i could possibly use as a planned stop. Previous reviews were mostly good so i pulled in as a semi surprise dinner with my girlfriend. We went through to the lounge...

I was recently at a function at this hotel. Hotel was fine, food was good, bar area was clean. The only problem of the whole night was the manageress whom I believe was called Natasha. The woman had absolutely no manners. For a person who should be setting an example to the staff, being front of house, should know better....

Often meet friends here for a catch up when I travel home. It has a cosy atmosphere with lovely couches as you walk in and an open fire. Staff are always friendly. The times I've gotten lunch it's been nice. They do a lovely Bailey's coffee also.

Very run down..and cold in the lounge. Staff are few and far between..but very nice! Food can be hit and miss. It's a great spot for a Hotel and could do very well if loved! Bedroom was very tired and ragged same as downstairs ' it all needs to be refurbished .

We stayed here to go to a gig in a nearby pub and found The Anglers to be a really nice place to stay. Very clean warm rooms. Good choice of breakfasts and we had an evening meal in the bar which was reasonably priced and very tasty. The owner was also kind enough to give us a lift to...

We had breakfast here this morning. Myself, my wife and our son. Good tasty food, good coffee and good service. The bill for three was €19.50. Vegetarian son was very happy with his fare and the carnivores got what the needed too. Great value.

Good and cheap little hotel to stay in on the way to Connemara. Stopped here instead of going all the way to the west coast late on a friday evening. Room was clean and breakfast next day wasnt bad either.
