With a couple of friends we stayed for five nights at Vinauberge in the two first floor self-catering apartments. Good points;- Nice welcome Cosy restaurant with good food and wines. Very good location right by the side of the canal and in a small village with (thankfully) a couple of other very acceptable restaurants. Well-equipped kitchen. Bad points;- No breakfast... More

We enjoyed a lovely lunch while stopping at Vinauberge as part of our Canal du Midi cruise. The atmosphere in the garden was soothing, the service was extermely friendly in both french and english and the food gorgeous. The experience was crowned by the local Rosé which was served for 17€ a bottle. One of the definite highlits of our... More

This is an ideal place to stay in the Languedoc area of SW France. The property consists of a Maison de Maitre converted into self catering apartments. The apartments are large and well equipped, although slightly impersonal decor and only one English TV channel (BBC World News, which seems to think rotating three different stories all evening is enough news!).... Easy. Stay here. Apartments are very spacious, with some having plunge pools. The only advice I would offer: plunge pools not safe for children and steps are difficult even for adults!Need a television in the apartments if you are there in low season and a good vanity mirror in the bedroom please!grounds are really well cared for and the Cave... Had lunch at Vinauberge the other day. Excellent. Food was great, service was fantastic. And wonderful location. Only thing to remember is that you need to go to the bar to get the bill and pay it. Was [very] gently berated for asking for the bill at the bar but then heading off back to the table.

Just popped in whilst cycling along the canal du midi.... A beautiful little spot of wine heaven. There was a family lunch going on and all were having a great time. We on the other hand were too busy sitting back and relaxing before heading off for Colombiers

We stayed overnight here but were dismayed to find that, even in a new apartment, there was no air conditioning. The bedroom was stifling and we could not sleep at all. There was not even a fan. However, in all other respects, it is a lovely property. The staff were extremely pleasant and the dinner was adequate. Service was a... More

I booked 2 nights in the 2 bedroom 100m/sq gite on the property which was at the far end of the building making it quiet with a great view over the surrounding countryside. The gite was very clean, modern and spacious and the kitchen was fitted out with high quality appliances. Bathroom had a large walk-in shower and the beds... More

This is the second time we have stayed here, and hope to stay again. Spacious well appointed and clean rooms, a well stocked kitchen and free high-speed internet. All this backed by a most friendly and pleasant staff. Just perfect! Located alongside the Canal du Midi in Poilhes, they also have a charming restaurant with a great selection of wine... More
