Theres nothing particulary bad about this hotel but at the same time theres nothing particulary great. The room i got was tiny were my colleagues was massive its just luck of the draw. Rooms are kind of in keeping with the exterior (which is beautiful) but at the same time they

We stayed at the hotel for a Christmas party night, the night was excellent and although small the room was clean and adequate. The staff were excellent, however my breakfast should not have left the kitchen, I had eggs benedict and my hollandaise sauce had split and curdled leav

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience at our hotel. I am pleased that you found the party night to be a success, and the staff to be excellent and your room to be clean. I am sorry about your breakfast, and I would have hoped that the staff would have offered to replace it for you. I can assure you that the problem with the Eggs Benedict was a one off, and I am confident that should you stay with us again in the future you will have a much better breakfast experience. Kind regards Mrs Swain Director

This has been my second stay at Walworth Castle. The first stay we stopped in one of the double rooms which was a nice spacious room, on the second stay we checked in to a four poster suite. After spending a few minutes in the room we noticed the lights were flickering and making

We travelled from the South to Walworth Castle arriving on a very wet evening. The entrance to the Castle and Lobby were somewhat dour albeit the Receptionist could not have been more welcoming. Our room and the passages to it were worn and, with suitcases, were quite a climb. Th

Hi, I am sorry that you were so disappointed with your recent stay. We are a 12th century castle but I understand that perhaps it may not be to everyones taste. I would have to disagree with you that the entrance is dour and the corridors are worn, but I take on board your opinion. Being a grade 1 listed building prevents us from installing a lift, however a member of our team would have been more than happy to assist with luggage. I believe we are good value for money, at less than £53 per person to stay in a 12th century castle including breakfast. I am disappointed that you wouldn't stay with us again but perhaps a more modern hotel would be more suited to your taste. Kind regards Mrs Swain Director

Hello, does the hotel have any rooms that allow well behaved dogs? Thanks.
I believe they do allow some. They welcomed my chihuahua when I went to book our wedding. They said he could come to our wedding but not the reception as it’s a food area.

Is the hotel in the town?
No, we took a taxi from Darlington station which costs between £12-£14.50 one way. Hotel can book a return taxi, which arrived on time. The trip takes about 15 minutes.

Are you reachable by transit? I wanted to visit Darlington in December but do not wish to rent a car. Thanks!
Hi, If you are arriving at Darlington train station, the best option would be to get a taxi. The cost would be approximately £15 - £20 each way.
