You can stop reading this review now if you require any of the following while on a vacation: 1) an innkeeper/hotelier that speaks fluent English; 2) a bathroom with a “real” shower, not a hand-held shower head; 3) a room with a television; 4) lots of restaurants/shops within a five minute walk. We stayed here for two days in June and wish we could have stayed longer. Gilles and Sylvie met us on arrival and showed us around, and told us all about the surrounding area and what was worth visiting. It offers luxury accommodation with all the facilities that one would expect including a private swimming pool. This French chateau has 5 bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate 10 adults. Originally built in the 12th Century, this chateau used to be a military post; it was destroyed in the 16th Century, before being rebuilt and has been used as a family home ever since. ... more   less
