We stayed at Elsewhwere at the end of our holiday for some R & R. Exciting arrival over the bridge into a different world. We stayed in the Captain’s Lodge. The setting was beautiful, a very short walk down to the beach. The lodge was very clean, comfortable beds with the linen changed several times during the week. There was... More

I stayed in 2007 and came back in 2009 - both times at the end of an exhausting few weeks travel through India. The perfect place to chill out and really relax. I stayed in 'my' tent both times, was remembered by the staff in 2009 and welcomed like an old friend. Felt utterly safe both times and treasured being... More

This is a true paradise...isolated from Goa commercial madness and trash, and well suited for a complete turn off idyllic vacation. To set appropriate expectations, you will need to be able or set aside your need for 5-star level comfort in exchange for an authentic, relaxed and invigorating kick back time. It took us a couple of days to do... More

An idyllic place in north Goa, tucked away on a mile of pristine beach, with a river isolating it from the rest of the coastline, Elsewhere is reached only by a long wooden bridge across a creek. A former summertime retreat, the property has been turned in a fabulous villa hotel. We stayed four nights in the Bakery, one of... More

Elsewhere is beautiful and a very slick operation. We stayed in The Bakery - gorgeous room and so relaxing to chill on the terrace outside or in our very own hammock watching the beautiful birds and butterflies. Our room had a very well stocked fridge with cokes etc and also there is a wine rack in the room. The dining... More

We were staying 8 nights at Elsewhere in Oct/Nov 2013, 5 nights in the Bakery, 3 nights in a tent. Both options do have its charme! To summarize, a perfect place to be who wants to relax, to enjoy privacy, to have good food and to spend peaceful time with nice people. The service people are outstanding! if you see... More

so much of our trip to southern India is full of Illusions, and Elsewhere is also a bit like this, Think of the best exotic marigold hotel, full of promise doesn't always deliver, but ultimately a delight and full of reward The food here was unbelievably good ,we really did not want to go out and eat 6 nights and... We've recently returned from a 5 night stay in The Bakery at Elsewhere. The houses are basic but stylish and are just yards from a near deserted beach (at least it was very quiet when we visited in October). Food is very good and there is a large and varied menu. The cost of food is remarkably low (approximately £2... More

I stayed here only for 2 nights and i LOVED it! The adventure for me started with them keeping the location a secret to start with. Once there I realised the 2 hours (almost) travel from the airport is totally worth it. If you are into a secluded beach with your own villa on it, then Elsewhere is the place... More

If you like to get away from the crowd and appreciate a lonely beach this is your dream come true. We stayed in the Piggery, a beautifully converted and sensitively furnished old Goan building which had everything we could have wanted (except perhaps some shade in the afternoons). We had a isolated position directly overlooking the beach. The food at... More
