Reviewed 17 November 2014

Visited for the first time with friends. This is a lovely historical building set in large, well-kept grounds in Ledsham, in the middle of the Wirral countryside, 1 mile down a country lane off the A550 Chester High Rd. The house was built in 1860 and modernised and enlarged in 1915, the date above the main entrance, by a local...

Hello Prentonian What a lovely, and very comprehensive, review of our afternoon tea - thank you so much! I have noted your comments regarding the overflowing bin, and have ordered a new much larger one today, so the next time you visit, I very much hope we are able to achieve that coveted 5th star!

This is a lovely hotel. A converted olde worlde manor house. Beautiful building and setting. The staff are very nice and very professional. If i was forced to think of something negative, the dining rooms a bit on the cosy side but overall brilliant. Happy to stay there again and again

Hi Richard Thanks for this super review, it's very much appreciated. The restaurant can get a little busy when the hotel is full, as it's the original dining room from the days when Inglewood was a family home, but we do stagger bookings to ensure that everyone is very well looked after when they dine with us. I do hope...

My husband and I held our wedding at Inglewood Manor on 4th October this year and cannot praise the hotel or the staff enough. Everything was perfect from the Friday evening when we arrived to the Sunday afternoon when we left after our wedding. The food was fantastic and the service we received from the staff at Inglewood Manor was...

We stayed at Inglewood Manor the last two nights. We arrived and were greeted by Jennifer who was helpful and friendly. We were offered complimentary Sherry & Cake in the lounge once we had settled into our room which we took whilst reading the papers by the fire..............it was a really nice touch. Hi Claire Thanks for this great review. The good news is that we did actually receive our 4th star in 2012, which was a wonderful milestone for the hotel. I do hope we'll be able to welcome you back very soon.

We arrived at Inglewood Manor along some very pretty country lanes and a smart driveway. My son was at once desperate to have a game on the tennis court, but it was a bit wet: so we said we'd have a go in the morning, if it was dry. We had been forewarned by the hotel that there was a...

Hi njbrad I'm so pleased you had what sounds like a very relaxing visit to Inglewood, and only sorry you were not able to fit in that game of tennis. Don't leave it too long before coming back for a re-match as, if your son is anything like mine, he'll suddenly turn round and beat you when you're least expecting...

I have just returned from staying at Inglewood Manor Hotel, the cleanliness of the hotel was second to none. The staff very accommodating and would certainly return. I was surprised that even the single rooms were of such a high standard usually I have found single rooms to be inadequate.

Hi Harold Thanks so much for your lovely review. I will pass your praise regarding the cleanliness of the hotel onto our housekeeping team - they are often our unsung heroes, so they'll be delighted! The smaller scale of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff made us feel more like house guests in a period home than hotel residents. Special mention to Jennifer on reception. I stayed here as part of a wedding party in October 2014. The setting is really quite charming; in the countryside, beautiful arrangements for the wedding ceremony and a really good meal served as part of the "wedding breakfast", good quality food and quick service. The contradiction is everything else. The staff do seem really keen to help but appear...

Hi David Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I am delighted that you enjoyed the wedding so much, with lovely food and helpful staff.
