This hotel, the building is a grand old lady. However she has a spring in her Step! We stayed in room 11 overlooking the bay. Stunning views. The room was very comfortable well maintained and clean. We dined every evening, the meals were superbly presented and most agreeable. This hotel is off the beaten track, there is plenty to see...

A group of 30+, we enjoyed a wonderful meal, served in elegant surroundings by well trained staff. Even the Brussel Sprouts were done to perfection - no small achievement! The service was excellent, the welcome - and indeed the hotel iself - was warm and encouraging on a cold January night. All in all a great experience at around £17...

Comfortable hotel. Don't come if you're expecting luxury though. This is a home from home place - somewhere you can feel immediately comfortable and able to relax - provided what you like are long walks with the hound, spectacular cliff top scenery, good food and wine, a nice bar and for the staff to know who you are. Sure the...

We arrived on the Saturday, around 1 pm and could check into room straight away. Lovely room on the corner of the hotel with front and side sea views, Very well appointed, comfortable bed, large bathroom and a clean tidy well presented room. We had a swim in the hotel swimming pool, and it was well maintained with the water...

We stayed at the hotel whilst visiting the area for a wedding. Whilst the location and view are stunning, sadly for the price we paid for one night was steep for what we actually got. The interior needs a refresh, the rooms are tiny and breakfast (service and food) could have been better. Wifi was also patchy around the hotel...

If you are looking for a sterile chain feel with everything perfect you may not 'get' this hotel. However, if you are looking for a quirky, good service with not everything perfect then please book this place. We had 3 nights on a Groupon deal which was just brilliant. The staff / family make it special and it feels like...

A group from our golf club went at lunch time to enjoy the Christmas menu. It has to be paid in full in advance but was very good value for money. Our initial booking was for 4 people and then we added 1 more person - paid for with their menu choice but the 2 bookings never seemed to be...

We were a group of 17, celebrating an 80th birthday and visiting for lunch on a Sunday. The hotel was very attractively decorated for Christmas, with 2 large, high ceilinged rooms used as the restaurant. Both had fantastic views out over the sea and garden. The menu had 4/5 choices for each of the 3 courses. The prawn starter was generous...

Got to make it clear, I did not stay at this hotel, but travelled to it to babysit my grand children while their parents had a few hours adult time, but we stayed long enough to form a few opinions, the first is that we arrived in the dark, so please, could you put some illumination on your hotel sign,...
