This wonderful old hotel towers in gothic splendor over Whitsand Bay, Their restaurant offers a very reasonable lunch special, with 2 courses for £12:95 or 3 for £15. The menu is varied, though somewhat predictable, and we were very happy with our food. My friends and I had a starter and a main, and between us we sampled Smoked Mackerel...

Easter Sunday lunch outing with 30 friends and we weren't disappointed. Could not fault anything. Superb picturesque venue, first class service, spotless presentation, very comprehensive set menu with plenty of choice for each course, more than ample helpings, all at a set price for the three courses at less than £20. Oh yes and the food was of the highest...

We have been here before and thought it to be excellent, so upon this return visit we were not at all disappointed. The service is superb, the food is very nice , and, of course, the views are second to none . Once again--excellent !

I spent a night here before my wedding and the hotel was amazing! Easy to find, very accommodating. Beautiful old building. We got a room overlooking the water and it was perfect! The only thing I struggled with was there was not a real shower just a shower head over the bath. I paid for a family room and it...

We recently stayed at Whitsand Bay hotel on a Gentlemans golf break. We have stayed here a number of times over the year. The rooms are clean and well equipped with a comfortable bed ,although it would be great if wifi extended there. Great selection of beer in their friendly bar. The restaurant has always been good but if anything...

Check-in was fast and efficient rather than friendly as we were expecting from a family run hotel. It was a stormy night so we expected a great view from our £6 extra sea-view room. It was absolutely freezing in there due to the gaps in the windows that were big enough to get your fingers through. 10 minutes and half...

Great location with a fantastic view of the Atlantic from Rame head to the Lizard. Great links golf. The hotel was once a grand coastal hotel sadly neglected. Interestingly some great staff helpful and smiling. Very diverse menu with something for all tastes. 10'meals ordered and delivered in a timely manner all eaten with no complaints around the table. Very...

It seemed popular for the golf and with the WI. At first it strikes you as a little faded, past its best, but it grows on you. The rooms are ample, the food is good, but best of all is the light and location. To open your window to the sea and let the sun flood in is a great...

Sixth visit to this hotel for their Ladies Golf Break with 15 friends. The ambience, food and service as always was brilliant. This quirky hotel run by the Phillips family is delightful and although the weather was very unkind it did not stop us all enjoying ourselves. Roll on next year.

Amazing, beautiful hotel, well run and totally relaxing. I had booked a sea view room as a short break for my Mum and myself, we were not disappointed. The hotel is lovely, lots of original features, quaint essential English. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the sea, it was very spacious with an elegance of a previous era....
