We arrived early afternoon to this little gem of a site, on entering off the road there was a telephone number to ring , we were greeted by the owner and told where we could park and choose our pitch, the hardstanding for our motorhome was just perfect Quiet and in a lovely valley setting, After paying our fee for...

I really shouldn't do a review because we may not be able to come back if everyone books :) Lovely site run by a friendly but not invasive owner . Shown all the amenities when we arrived and told of the dog walk at the back that leads into the lane for the village . Lovely and clean , short...

An amazing stay! Due to it being the weekend of Radio one's big weekend we were expecting a busy and cramped camping experience. How wrong we were. The owner didn't over book the campsite at all. We had plenty of space and beautiful views. Although some of the pitches are slightly sloping we managed to find a flat area near...

Wow, what a beautiful camp site. It was fantastically maintained and the surrounding area was beautiful! A few nice pubs close by, so enough to keep you entertained. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, would recommend staying here to anyone! The bad side was £1 for showers for 7 minutes, and the shower itself seeming to only kick out...

This is a small C&C Certified site. Our sat-nav is old and did not have the address provided by the Hunters Lodge website; however it was not needed as the directions were sufficient. Arriving mid-day, we were greeted by the landlord, given a clear description of the property and facilities, and left to settle in. We chose a well grassed...

Have just returned from a 6 night stay with my parents and kids. Absolutely loved this place! So peaceful and relaxed no noise. On arrival we were greeted by Paul who allowed us to choose our pitch. He was welcoming and provided us with lots of info about local area. The facilities are basis but always clean. This place was...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hunters Lodge. The site is well laid out and the pitches are generous in size. The owner was friendly and helpful. We spoke to other visitors, who like us had not visited this site before, and they told us how happy they were to have found this quiet, unspoilt, lovely campsite and hoped to...

Would love to give this place zero if possible! Spoke with the man twice before arriving... All seemed well. However, upon arriving he saw our van and said "I am sorry but we can't take that" looking at the work van, we said "sorry?" he said "we can't take it on the site" so we were very surprised by the...

Disappointed to receive your review. Sorry we couldn’t accommodate you, unfortunately most campsites have a policy on commercial vehicles. When you arrived I was shocked to see the size of your van with the ladders on top, this is not the image I want for my camping site. I am sure as you can appreciate when you arrived you will...

Nicely laid out campsite, nice surroundings and clean toilets. Owner was nice, friendly and approachable and let us know where to get groceries and where the best pubs were. Ideally located if you want to walk on the scenic coastal path and on the way back you can even stop at the local Anchor pub for a few...campsite even sells...

Just returned from a week at hunters lodge. A lovely quiet site with great sized pitches. Our tent with awning is huge and there was still ample room for the car and the children to play without being a nuisance to the neighbours. The facilities are simple yet adequate and always clean. Fresh eggs from the chickens are a plus....
