The resort property is beautiful and lush and well maintained. A friendly hotel staff member met us at the airport and escorted us to our taxi, then water taxi, to another taxi and then to check-in, which was a nice treat. Check-in was easy and friendly. Our room was an ocean front 1 bedroom, nicely decorated and clean. The room is on a small hill set back from the beach. Installing a few steps to the beach path would be nice as it’s pretty steep and could be difficult for some people. The A/C worked great, the bed was comfortable and shower had plenty of hot water. Unfortunately, the pillows were very uncomfortable and my neck, 5 days later, is still hurting. The beach was meticulously raked every day which was greatly appreciated. The Blue Bar had good food, a bit expensive, but good. The pool is small so if there are kids swimming around it’s hard to share. Malcolm 51 had very good food and good service. Our first dinner there was very pleasant and relaxed. When we arrived another evening for dinner, a number of families with young kids were there eating and it was incredibly loud. We have kids so we get it, but we were hoping for an experience like the first so we were a bit disappointed. We rented a golf cart and enjoyed exploring the island. We highly recommend Arthur’s Bakery for breakfast! One thing Pink Sands should consider is a “do not disturb” sign for their rooms, or at least, we didn’t have one. Around 6pm every evening housekeeping would knock on the door (which is clear glass) to see if we wanted turndown service. This seems like an odd time of day for turndown and maybe we should have declined for the entirety of our stay, but we thought the first time was by accident, then we were caught very off guard another evening. We really wanted privacy and didn’t want to feel like we needed to have the curtains closed at all times. I also had someone from housekeeping let herself into our room while I was in the bathroom, she did not knock either. She was very startled when I greeted her, then was a little abrasive with my husband when she made a second attempt to enter and he was there. Despite a couple minor hiccups, we had a nice relaxing stay and enjoyed the atmosphere of the grounds.

The Pink Sands Beach Resort is a paradise for those who prioritize beach, nature and family life in a vacation. Its location could not be better: it is in front of a great, beautiful and empty beach. Crystal clear turquoise waters and soft waves, clean, almost infinite sand (really pink), all for just you and a few people more. I don't have enough words to describe how beautiful this beach is, which is why I am attaching three photos. The hotel is in Dunmore, the picturesque little town where you can find grocery stores, liquor stores and restaurants (just a few, decent but pricey). Most of the property is tropical forest, in the middle of which are the cottages and villas, no more than 20 of them, very far from each other. We (a family of 5 adults) stayed at the La Mer Azure villa, which has three large and comfortable bedrooms, a spacious living and dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen. The beds, bedding and abundant towels are of excellent quality. The decoration is unpretentious but very tasteful. We felt like being alone in the middle of the jungle, because we could not see or hear anything from neighboring rooms. To go to the beach we did not have to walk more than three minutes (that is why it is not necessary to rent the electric carts). There are only two restaurants in the hotel: the bar near the beach, which is open until 6 pm, and the Malcom51 restaurant. Both serve fine but expensive food, like all food on the island, actually. For us, food was not a problem because we really enjoy cooking, so we bought groceries at Key Market or Pigly Wigly (five minutes walking), where you can find almost everything you need to prepare a good meal. The housekeeping service is excellent and discreet. The boys who help in the beach with the chairs, umbrellas and towels are very friendly and well disposed. At the beach bar, the service is slow and some waitresses were even rude at times. But, if you are patient, you can relax on that spectacular terrace. The Manager, Kym, is present even in the small details. For example, when we arrived we found some little inconveniences in our villa (a shower that didn't work properly; there was only a machine for coffee with capsules, and we prefer american coffee; and other details). We told Kym, and he got everything fixed fast, with a dedication that we appreciated. He is an example of a manager concerned about his clients.
If we were asked to highlight any aspect that could be improved, we would say that the owners should spend money in renovating the sofas, kitchen appliances and, especially, the TVs (none of the TVs in the villa were smart-TVs). It is also surprising why there is no gym; even a small one would make a big diference.
It is an expensive hotel, yes. But it is so because its value offer is unique. For those of us who run from crowded beaches and enormous all-inclusive resorts, the price we paid was much more than worth it.

This is the 2nd year we have visited Pink Sands Resort and both times have had an amazing experience. The staff is so very friendly and accommodating. We lived at the beach for much of our stay. They had staff raking the seaweed off the beach every morning, and beach staff were always checking in to see if we needed anything. We ate at Blue Bar for Brunch and Lunch on many days. The team there gets to know you after a few days and makes you feel like family. The food is delicious and always consistent. We LOVED our cottage. We stayed in an ocean view 2-bedroom and had a huge outdoor patio. The cottage was very spacious and well appointed. Housekeeping service was provided daily along with all the bottled water you need. We also ate at Malcom 51 (the dinner restaurant) twice. The Spiny Lobster Tail w/ Pappardelle was so amazing I ordered it both times! We actually ran in to some guests who were visiting at the same time we were last year and returned for the same reasons we did, it's just a magical place. We have been to many restaurants and popped in to other Hotels while visiting Harbour Island. There is no better service than what you get at Pink Sands.

Upon arrival, we asked for some ice and over 1.5 hrs later we called again but could not get anyone from any extension to answer the call. We heard from beach service personnel the phones continually mess up. We finally went to the dining room to get some ice for our room temperature waters. After the first afternoon on Monday they ran out of limes and continued to be out the next 3 days. So no cocktails with limes. Room service shows at 3 or after and turn down comes at 4-4:30 and they close all curtains at 4:30 the prettiest time of the days. They only make the beds.. trash cans in the baths have never been emptied and vanities/ sinks never cleaned. In room dining dishes are not picked up until late housekeeping service comes at 3-4 which is quite disgusting. The first night there was old blood on my sheets, I called for a manager and they told me there was no manager on duty. Personnel talk amongst themselves and when you try to get attention to order or ask question you feel as though you are interrupting. This place needs alot more managerial supervision. On an up note: the chef in dining room is very good. I had to rate it a 2 because it’s not a 5 and that was an average of the service we received. It could be so much more. Very sad.

We stayed here after 3 nights at the adjacent Coral Sands. While located on the same beach, they couldn't have been more different. Coral Sands does have a "grander" feel to it's main building, but the advantages of Pinks Sands are apparent the moment you interact with the staff. They are welcoming, kind, thoughtful, and responsive. Tina, Vanessa, Ronnie, Ms K, and Nel (who literally brought some forgotten items to the airport!?) are what make any stay at Pink Sands worth every penny. Having been subjected to the absolute indifference shown by the Coral Sands staff, we would have been happy with a simple smile and hello, but the folks at Pink Sands went way beyond that to make us feel comfortable.
A few examples: Three days on the beach at Coral Sands and we weren't offered a beach menu once, despite that service existing. Whereas at Pink Sands Ronnie had us covered before our feet hit the sand and from every moment onward. During check-in at Coral Sands we asked for a printed itinerary to make it easy to see our schedule, despite multiple requests and interactions with the GM this never happened. Vanessa at Pink Sands had this same request done within a few minutes during check-in. I could go on to include the daily yoga with Ms K, the restaurant Malcom 51, or the exceptional chicken sandwich at the beach, or the caring the staff put into helping our children find a quiet nights sleep during an event on property. Every interaction was a chance to shine, and they showed brightly every time.
If you want to enjoy a relaxing time on a beautiful beach at a full-service hotel, we highly recommend Pink Sands. The accommodations, amenities, and location are on par or better than others in the area, but the people are always what makes a full-service hotel great, and Pink Sands nailed it.

We just got done with a 3 day stay at the pink sands. While the rooms have been updated, they still are well below 5 stars. The sink was broken our entire stay, and seems to have been for a long time as the sink and counter were full of backed up debris. The bottle opener was rusted shut and full of hair. If you like hot showers than you are out of luck here as the showers are like warm and quickly run out of hot water.
Our room wasn’t stocked with towels during housekeeping. If you try to contact the front desk via the room phone it just rings and eventually hangs up. Additionally coffee and cream were not restocked. After asking repeatedly for these items we had to go to the front desk to get them.
Service by the beach was 1 star if that. Beach towels were never available the three days we were there. We were unable to get any type of drink or service. In fact the beach hut was unattended. If you want to lay by a pool go elsewhere as the pool is unattended and has zero facilities. Service at blue bar was also horrible! We had to get up and ask for our check. This was after 3 requests and 40 minutes of being patient on island time.
We paid $2000 per night and expected to have a lot better for that kind of money. I would say anything more than $400 is way too much for this property. Save you $$ and go elsewhere…. Take this review as a gift!

This was my first time to Harbour Island, Bahamas, and I am so delighted that I stayed at Pink Sands Resort. The location on the pink sand beach is superb, the resort is spacious and feels very exclusive. There is plenty of privacy, as the cottages are well spead apart. My cottage, Berry South, was perfect! Close to the the beach, but private with a great garden view. Dinner at Malcolm 51 our first night there was terrific. We went into town the other nights for dinner, but stay at the resort for breakfast and lunch, served oceanside at Blue Bar & Kitchen.

We went with four couples and had the best time! The staff was exceptional. The beach cottages are perfect for a relaxing time and they are perfectly decorated. Very clean. We had a boat at a marina. It was a short golf cart ride over. We enjoyed seeing the turtles, that is a must! Spooner was our local guide and our captain Timmy enjoyed getting to know him as we did. Pink Sands Resort goes above and beyond to ensure you have a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend! 🏝️🚤🐚🐓🐢

Pink Sands is a tropical paradise! We had a fabulous two bedroom villa with a cottage in the garden with a third bedroom, all ensuite with both indoor and outdoor showers. The garden and pool were amazing - well equipped and maintained regularly. The resort itself is easy to navigate but we hired a golf buggy which allowed us to buzz down into town and enjoy the local shops and restaurants. The famous pale pink beach is gorgeous, the waters so warm - what a treat. We'd come here again in a heartbeat.

The location is just AMAZING! The beach is beautiful, the views are out of this world. Staff at the Blue Bar and the beach hut were super helpful and friendly. But sadly whilst we have firmly decided we’ll go back to harbour Island we will be looking for alternative accommodation rather than the pink sands resort. And it’s mostly due to the value for money: you get no help or whatsoever from the front desk, rooms are dated, and it’s even little things such as being tight with the bottled water (they would only leave 2 tiny bottles per adult, none for the child) which really rubs you in the wrong way.
At that price tag, you’d expect more…
Checkin is at 3pm. We arrived just before 12:00, which we clearly told the hotel on booking. They told us the room wasn’t ready but that we could enjoy the facilities and they’ll call us when the room was ready. We went back to the front desk at 3pm and they said they called me (no missing calls) and tried to find us but they couldn’t (we were sitting in the lounge by front desk!)
We visited with a 3 year old, they’ve known for months we requested an extra bed for the child. We were received by a tiny cot - we thought it was a mistake, we asked them to change it (several times) - NOBODY did so we had the child sleeping with us the whole stay.
They knew from booking we wanted our transfers sorted, on the day of departure, they told me they were not aware of the request (although it was printed on the itinerary they gave me). They wanted to charge me $180 for the transfer due to late notice (!) - the transfer costs for 3 people around $50 including tips…. So I arranged it myself and let front desk know that. At 10:30 I got a call asking me what time we were leaving, which was odd because I told them only about an hour earlier, but also rude given checkout is at 12:00.
The lock in our villa was broken. They had to come and fix it 3 times in 5 days. Each time front desk just tried to give me another key and it was very visibly an inconvenience when I kept refusing to get another key and requested maintenance to sort it out. The highlight was when I missed an important work call because I couldn’t go into my room to get my computer! We ended up having to leave the room unlocked for the rest of the stay.
My bill was wrong, they tried to charge me extra days of the golf cart I rented (read my tip on this topic) even though I had returned it to the front desk two days prior checkout and one hour before the deadline. Just another example of the disjointed customer service experience.
It’s a shame, I had great expectations as my husband stayed there many years ago and always talked so fondly of it, and it didn’t live up.
