We stayed at Castelneau for a 1 day stop and the hosts where very welcoming and outgoing. The little tour we had with Mr. Roquefeuil was very interesting and full of little details which expressed his true passion for the vine production and the history of "Entre-deux-mers". Beautiful location I would recommend everyone to have a short stay!

My husband and I were fortunate enough to tour Castelneau on our honeymoon this summer. Call ahead to make an appointment, and you will be treated to a delightful experience! We were greeted by Loïc de Roquefeuil, the charismatic, larger-than-life proprietor, and the vineyard dog, Carmanac (possibly the greatest dog on earth). The two walked us through a brief introduction...

This is a beautiful location and an ideal base from which to visit this iconic wine-growing area. Loic and Diane made our stay memorable from start to finish and gave us great advice on what to see and where. Our room was quaint and wonderful with comfortable bed and we greatly enjoyed the traditional French breakfasts. The surroundings were incredibly...

Stayed here for six days while exploring the region and what a delight. Loic and Diane are wonderful hosts and the wine tour was very interesting and informative. Our room was in the mansion which was delightful. The buildings date back to the 14th & 17th centuries and the castle is currently being restored. Don't be put off by that,...

The Chateau is charming and with plenty of space and grounds to wander in so it feels private even when there are other guests. We were immediately made to feel very welcome. We also received a tour of the chateau and explanation of the wine making process, as well as a little tasting and the pleasure of enjoying a couple...

Thanks to our wonderful hosts, we really got to experience life at a winery. We had the good fortune to stay while their twice-annual bottling process was in motion. With the lovely addition of a tour and tasting, getting to see the wine from grape to finished product was a really great extra. At the suggestion of our hosts, we...

Chateau de Castelneau provided us with an exceptionally enjoyable stay. Guests have rooms in what have been the family’s winter quarters. Staying at Chateau de Castelneau feels very much like being a privileged friend, stepping into the friendly family home of the Lord and Lady of the Manor. The rooms are comfortable and stylishly appointed. The lounge is spacious with...

I have stayed many times at Chateau de Castelneau and find myself yearning to return each year. For real authentic French rustic charm, you won't find anything lovelier. Peace, calm, tranquility, vines, forest, pool, wonderful accommodation and charming hosts - it doesn't get much better than this. Things to do if you can tear yourself away ..... St Emilion about...

This little Château is situated in the middle of vineyards 30 kms from Bordeaux. The very friendly owners realise wine-degustations and offer very comfortable, calm accomodations in the side wing of the small castle that are furnished with a sense for details. The perfect place to experience French tranquilité and classy wine culture.
