1- The telephones were not working for a week !!! and the wash basin was not draining the water !!! 2- The staff of the hotel were over rulling even after finishing the 7 days quarantine period and the test on the 8th day was negative !!!
Very nice break away. Rooms old but clean. Was happy with most with the exception of the rude swimming pool attendant. How the Hotel management can allow him to treat guests that way is astonishing. I watched him be rude to multiple guests. He acts as if he is the sheriff in a small town. I will not stay in this Hotel again if he is still there.
We have had the pleasure of visiting Grand Hyatt hotels all over the world. This property has potential and a lovely lobby and charming exterior, but the absolutely ancient bedrooms and public spaces made me feel like it was 1990. Perhaps that's when they were last renovated. Service was fine, but cost cutting is obvious. For example, even in covid times hotels have glasses and tea mugs in the room, but this one only had paper and cheap plastic cups. There was no verbal acknowledgement of globalist status but we were given a two room suite overlooking the parking lot. It was very large, but very dated. Evening snack service for club lounge was tasty and generous but very slow (it took an hour to get our ordered food both days). Breakfast was lackluster but fine. I always have a feeling that Grand Hyatt are special places... But not so much this one. …
Came with friends to try their sushi night and it was really great, a very good offer for only 14 OMR with unlimited sushi plus a bottle of wine! 🍷🍣👍 Top up with a friendly and professional service from Yannick. Definitely must try in Muscat. You will surely love it. ❤️
Prior to arrival I have called to the hotel to confirm the details for day pass. I have asked if hotel had private beach- first lady who answered the phone didn’t know if it was private or public so transferred me to another employee who confirmed it was private beach. So I went to the hotel and purchased the day pass however it appears hotel doesn’t have private beach it’s public and accessible to anyone. Basically I paid just to pass by hotel’s property. Would be nice if call center operators will have information regarding hotels facilities.
