We realy were surprised by the camping site and the environment (Vercors) Camping is located just outside Lalley, 7 minutes from the road between Grenoble - Gap. There isn't any inconvenience of this road so don't expect traffic noise. You have a spectacular panoramic view on the Plateau the Vercors (in the back) and National Parc Les Ecrins. The camping is managed by the family Durand (Patrick and Nathalie) Nathalie understands and speaks English reasonable. They will do everything to make your stay comfortable. I think that most of the guests are Dutch (70%) complete by French, Belgium and ohter nationalities. A lot of kids between 3-14 years old. We hired a mobile home and those are very well equiped (oven, microwave and tv with dvd player in case of bad weather!) The weather can be very warm, despite the location (800 meter). The only thing we missed was a veranda (for shadow) and a laying bed or good chairs outside the mobile home. The current picnic table with umbrella was only sufficient for eating outside but not very comfortable. We build up a "tarp" for having some shadow. However there are some sites on the camping with enough shadow. There is free wifi (30 minutes a day) available or you can buy wifi access for a whole week. But having full time wifi during holiday isn't our priority! The restrooms near the swimming pool was very clear, even with disfect dispencers. For other travellers there are central refrigerators, deepfreezers etc, so very well equiped. You can have some simple breakfast, lunch and dinners in the restraurant. And yes we recommend this. Take away is also possible and will be standard delivered at your site!! (very nice service) The camping can provide some (realy nice!) hiking maps starting at the camping site. Climbing "Le Jocou" and other mountains (near the camping) is recommend.
Other recommendations; lac du monteynard with the himalaya bridges (40 minutes), La Salette-Fallavaux (75 minutes), Parc aventure near Mont Aguille (40 minutes), Canoeing on the Drome (80 minutes), Gress en Vercorss, Le Jarjette, Village Mens (20 minutes, supermarket and gas station) etc, etc. Thank you Family Durand for taking care and this nice experience. Probably we will come back one time :-)

This was our second stay here and it is a real gem of a place. If you want views of countryside and mountains, a good pitch and a warm, friendly welcome then go no further. Natalie and Patrick are excellent hosts and really go out to look after you. You can enjoy Natalie's cooking in the cafe/bar by the pool, followed by long walks to walk off the calories. You are very well cared and catered for at Belle Roche.

We have stayed at this campsite previously - 2006 and 2007. We wanted to come back with our children as the area is so beautiful.
The campsite has good level pitches and they have plenty of room for all tourers.
Swimming pool is lovely and clean, well equipped with plenty of loungers. There are pool toys to be used and floats which was fantastic.
There was a table tennis table - free to use, a table football, a trampoline, small playground area - all free and the children loved them.
The toilet areas are okay but I do feel that they could do with a better clean each day. There was never a smell of cleaning products and I didn't see anyone cleaning them. However, they certainly weren't horrible but just could be better.
The area is wonderful and quiet, the mountains are beautiful. We managed to stargaze both nights we were there and saw a meteor shower.
The little shop in the village is adequate but don't expect a huge choice! Get there early for bread and croissants. But the campsite can order these for you.
Overall, we would stay here again as we love the peacefulness of the area.

Hello Louise, Thanks a lot for your advice ! We are happy to see that you spent a nice time in our campsite last summer . Concerning the toilets areas, we have made the choice to use organic cleaning products without any chemical elements or perfume so it was logical you didn't smell anything ! Moreover, the toilets areas are daily cleaned betwwen 11.30 am and 1.30 pm when there are less campers in the premices. We hope you understand our earth friendly way to rule our campsite. Hope to see you soon again in Lalley !

We were 2 families with 3 kids ranging from 5 to 9 and stayed in a mobile home and a tent. The campsite is very well maintained and mainly the bathrooms are spotless! We can not speak for all other shared amenities (access to fridge, freezer) as we used the mobile home amenities.
Both campsite hosts Nathalie and her husband are very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated fresh bread and croissants coming to the campsite every morning on order. All families had a great time hiking in the morning in wonderful Trieves and enjoying pool, trampoline and petanque in the afternoon. Such a great place for a family reunion. We'll be back!

This is a wonderful little camp site. Travelled in 2 family groups totalling 8 people ranging from 12 years to 78. My hubbie and I had our motor home in the pitch next to my brother and his family with their trailer tent. Well signposted through the village of Lalley and received a wonderfully warm welcome from Nathalie. The site is spotless, this includes the shower and toilet blocks. You can literally do nothing except drink in the amazing scenery all around you or go out on amazing walks, cycle rides and visits to adventure parks and down hill cycling. The food that Nathalie produces in the small cafe/restaurant is very tasty and HUGE portions. You can eat in or get it delivered to your pitch. We spent a lot of time by the pool totally relaxing and having some of the scrummy smoothies from the restaurant. Pitches are all good sizes and nothing is too much trouble. There is a freezer near the wash blocks which everyone can use to keep items frozen in the hot weather. Plenty electrical and water points around the site. Dog friendly site - although dogs not allowed in pool area there is a great shaded area next to the sunbathing terrace so they can see you through the fencing. They are allowed everywhere else on site. There are plenty paths and fields nearby to exercise your dog safely and off lead if wanted. Visited a vet in nearby Mens prior to return to Jersey for mandatory vets check on our dog - all went very smoothly. Would totally recommend and will definitely be back.

We thought this was one of the best sites we have visited , the surroundings are beautiful. The campsite offers large and medium pitches with electricity and great views . The pool is great for families and the bar and restaurant are very good all the food is prepared by the owners and is lovely ,we ate there twice which is unusual for us, you do have to reserve a table if you want to eat. There is an open area in the middle of the site for impromptu games for children. The owners and their family are very helpful and even offer a free outing to a local waterfall lead by the lady of the campsite. The supermarket is a long distance away but we found the village shop could provide most of what we needed. The showers and toilets were always clean and unusually never busy ,possibly because it was predominantly caravans . This site also has chalets available to rent. This site was mostly Dutch families which was a nice change. All in all a great site.

A magnificent discovery in every way. Isabelle and Jean-Louis are extremely welcoming and friendly. Listening to the slightest needs of their guests. The campsite is a little gem of greenery with a breathtaking view of the Alps. We enjoyed some good home-cooked meals. What can I say except that we will come back with our children to enjoy this little corner of paradise

We were welcomed by Isabelle and Jean Louis in their pretty Belleroche campsite in Lalley. An incredible white and yellow carpet of daisies and bedwetting covers the surface of the campsite. Here and there, beds of multicolored flowers brighten up this haven of peace. We spent a relaxing weekend and tasted Isabelle's good cuisine. We recommend this magnificent vacation spot. Carol and Jack.
