We had a night's stay here on the way to a ski holiday. It is a really lovely, well designed hotel with free parking and in a location just off the motorway that is easy to find. It's also near the supermarket Auchan for cheaper petrol than at the motorway services. Great to stay in the Lyon area without having the hassle of going into the centre. The rooms and communal areas are very stylish and comfortable and the hotel certainly deserves its star rating. We had a fantastic stay! Just a few things that may be useful to know that aren't necessarily clear or advertised on the hotel's website: Dinner is an unusual affair! It's a buffet meal, offering starters, mains and deserts but priced depending on how many courses you have. We were asked how many courses we were going to have at the start but we said we didn't know until we saw what was on offer and told the waiter how many we had had once we had finished! The food was nice enough but we felt it was quite pricey for what we had. Hopefully my memory serves me correctly with the pricing (give or take a euro!) - one course €33, two courses €35 and three courses €39 with drinks on top (about €8 for a glass of wine). We only had starters and a main as that was plenty! The pool is free for guests to use and dressing gowns are provided free of charge. The spa however is an additional €15 per person for an hour for guests staying at the hotel. Breakfast was very tasty and set us up well for the day. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it wholeheartedly!

This is the Pension I choose first when I come to Lyon for its Value for Award. The rooms are modern, comfortable and equipped with a small balcony (even if the view is not very interesting). There is more storage than in most hotels in this range, it seems to me. The shower is large and very nice with Rituals products. The toilet is separate. The Breakfast buffet is fantastic. The other advantage of this Inn is the free closed garage parking in the basement or outside. Finally, the Uber ride to the city center takes 20 minutes and just under 30€.

Very nice establishment, good welcome, and very clean. Gastronomic restaurant, spa and swimming pool at the top To discover !!!!!! I will come back !!!!! Top top top we ordered Théophile champagne at €60 per bottle, a more than reasonable price with quality. Add the very friendly service.

Everything was perfect, we dreamed of it! On site the big surprise was disproportionate to the size of the room, they showed us one we received another, nice ear, but small! With shower and no bathtub as seen and confirmed to reassure me by a phone call, clean shower but with mold, empty fridge. They offer to change it with a supplement, we take it, he announces that the fridge will be filled because a superior room, we trust, when we come back in the evening the fridge had a coke, a fanta, a beer and a mini carton of water, we had to share everything between 2, the room as small, the next day the maid sent me to reception to ask for water, one person assured me that he would do it, then he telephoned his superior who says that if we leave the same day we don't have the right. The room has 2-3 bath products and not 1 per person and no glass, apart from cardboard for the coffee, to obtain a glass glass it is impossible, we give up….we leave with the champagne intact. They display at the hotel a price of 600- for a standard room, 900- for the one we took and 1200- the suite, if we look in detail everything is made to shine without the quality, the air conditioning is impossible to regulate because the degrees are not displayed, it is blind we did not sleep too cold or too hot in the evening. The room had a musty smell and the standard before the shower was moldy plus the bathroom sheets. Disappointed, on the other hand the exterior and the Welneess space is pretty as well as the garden, the water in the swimming pool is great, 28 degrees. , but the sauna at 98 degrees, unfortunately it's too hot for the average person, as well as the wooden bath, the same. No longer the drinking water fountain, empty, because they will close soon (1 hour in advance) so you have to go back and forth for the slightest thing which is tiring. What they don’t say is that you have to reserve the Welneess space, too bad, they close at 8 p.m.! So if there is no place or those who simply come, they cannot enter and no one explains it on arrival, we discover on the spot once we have lost everything like the water we lost. no longer has the right 😂 with a standard room you have to pay 30E extra for the Welneess entrance A mixture of low quality with luxury we don't really find ourselves there and it's by sector. Remarkable as a sensation 😂 In short, surprise after surprise, Everything is done in a rather stingy manner but with a smile 😂. Not really appreciated and we see that the staff or reception have absolutely nothing to do. Elegant staff that doesn't stick with the rest

It's a nice enough solid four star property. However, I found the management exceptionally difficult to deal with. They wanted to collect a fee of 100 euros per night as a deposit over and above the room cost which had been prepaid. It was never clear what that deposit might cover. Breakfast was included (though I could have done without the bugs hovering around the fruit). And since there was no minibar in the room, there weren't a lot of ways to spend money in the hotel.
I've had good experiences at other Golden Tulip hotels, but the general manager of this facility was awful.

We enjoyed our reservation at the relaxation area. The spa is very nice, new and very aesthetic with waterfall and plants. Salma's massage treatment was great, the arch massage was great! The buffet of the restaurant les Oliviers is really qualitative and delicious. The room is very nice and well decorated.

We stopped at the Golden Tulip for one night. Very welcoming staff, very well decorated hotel, very well soundproofed. We regretted that the restaurant was closed. Product available, just for one person, not for two. But quality product

After a long travel day, I just needed a cool, quiet, dark room with a comfortable bed to help put some jet lag behind me. After checking in, I went to my assigned room to find that is was rather warm. I visited a colleague’s room to see if perhaps all the rooms were warm or if it was just mine, and my colleague’s room was cooler. I reported to the front desk and asked for assistance. The front desk was attentive and responsive, but suggested I give it a few hours to cool down. We ate dinner in the on-site restaurant (which was fantastic) before returning to the room. After two hours, the room was still hot (24-25C) so I asked for a different room. I was given a different room but on the same sunny side of the hotel. The room may have been a little cooler, but not much. Perhaps the A/C is not adequate to overcome the heat transfer through the aluminum window frames or perhaps ok just tried two different hot rooms, but I’d urge caution if staying here on a warm day. I stayed in March (when it was much cooler) and had a very pleasant stay. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the amenities are nice. If staying on a warm day, I’d suggest a room on the back of the hotel. Perhaps it would be cooler.

Quiet and pleasant SPA area with nice facilities, although not all functional. Very nice swimming pool, well heated and clean. The SPA area is a little cold and the hygiene in the changing rooms/showers needs to be reviewed. On the other hand, the quality of care is indisputable (what we expect from a 5 Mondes SPA). Special mention to Alessia for her very high quality massage and her professionalism. Relaxation guaranteed…
