Charged us €125 for a very basic apartment that had very poor facilities and €94 for a basic meal ... felt like a rip off. Very noisy as a heavy metal concert was taking place in the next road! Malesherbes is smelly and unpleasant... I won’t be going back
I discovered the place by chance, on the way to Paris. Was their for diner. Welcome : 3.5 / 5 Service : 4/5 Quality of products : 4 / 5 Cuisine 3.5 / 5 The place 4.5 / 5 Overall : 4 / 5 I recommend, the beauty of the place is relaxing.
Very pleasant historic coaching inn. The public areas have character and the bedroom was very pleasant with a view over the courtyard. The breakfast was exceptional good with an excellent buffet, with cheese, breads, jams and cakes.
South of Chartres stretch square mile after square mile of flat agricultural lands and dotted here and there small towns, centres for the local farmers and agriculturalists. One of these is Malesherbes and in Malesherbes is a traditional and pleasant restaurant, the L'Ecu de France.. Though the decor is not fancy, the staff are charming and helpful, despite limited English, and the food is wholesome, tasty and well cooked. Our filet perigourdine melted in the mouth and the deserts were generously endowed with cream and creme fraiche. It is easy in small towns to be disappointed but you will not be at L'Ecu de France. If you are in the area, it is well worth seeking out.
The staff are very friendly. Check in and check out went very fast. The room was quite small, but clean and functional. Unfortunately the free internet was very slow. The food in the hotel was great, absolutely nothing to complain Should I be again in this area, I will stay again in this Hotel
