The Lupus Den Country House was one of our best accommodations during our trip around South Africa. Not only the food was fantastic, the rooms were spacious and luxurious, the bathroom was one of the best bathrooms I have seen in hotels all over the world! The host was extremely friendly and gave us the good advise to also visit...

Eight Sunderland and West Ham United lads travelling around South Africa attempting to get the English football team to put as much effort into playing football as they were putting into enjoying South Africa would be a challenge for any guest house. The Lupus Den rose to the challenge and more than exceeded it. We stayed at the Lupus Den...

Unfortunately we only booked the one night here. In hindsight two or three would have been nice. This was a stop off point on the way to Bloemfontein allowing us to visit Addo Elephant Park. The Guest House is situated about 15-20 minutes drive from the main entrance into Addo and nestles in amongst all of the Orange Groves. It...

We stayed there for 3 nights because it is close to the Addo NP and we absolutely wanted a quiet place for the night and we did not want to go by car to a restaurant. Bed and Breakfast placed in the middle of a huge citrus farm, very calm, beautiful appointed rooms with most of them a private patio,...

It was a delight to stay on a working farm with both cattle and citrus groves. The accommodation was excellent and we slept well in the biggest bed we have ever seen. Priscilla and Noel, the owners, were tremendous hosts, providing excellent food and wines (the best fillet steak we have every tasted). Accommodation was of the hightest standard, comfortable,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The perfect place to unwind in a warm & friendly atmosphere, Lupus Den Country House is situated on our working citrus & cattle farm in the Sundays River Valley, approximately 25 minutes from the Addo Elephant Park. We offer comfortable to luxury accommodation in our Homestead & Garden Cottage set in a tranquil garden with large, sparkling pool, shaded by many beautiful trees. When not out exploring the local attractions, guests can enjoy the peace and quiet of a rural setting. In the evenings, on request, we serve a set 3-course candlelit, home-cooked dinner - a delicious way to end a day of exciting game-viewing. The enjoyment of our guests is a top priority so we will help where we can with bookings for safari outings to various game reserves in the vicinity or arrange the services of a private guide to the Addo Park. ... more   less
