We have just enjoyed the pleasure of staying at this very nice B&B located just 15 mins from Addo. We have stayed at some lovely places over the years and this accommodation is up there with the best of them. The owners, Molly and Connor, are clearly very proud of their business and attention to detail is evident at all...

We stayed at this wonderful family home for two nights while our husbands went to Addo. Molly and Conner could not be more attentive and helpful. The accommodation is lovely ,in keeping with the age of the house. Molly's cooking is amazing ,breakfast and dinner were lovely and beautifully presented. The guest house gave us an excellent base for exploring ADDO National Park. Owners Molly and Conner arranged game drives. These were both excellent in experience and information given to us. By being driven we were free to look and see, and look and see at what we had not seen. A very rich experience in all. Accommodation, meals, and...

A wonderful stay with wonderful hosts. Regrettably we planned only one night here and really should have spent longer. Great place to chill out and relax. Rooms done out really tastefully and spacious but not lacking homeliness. As the name suggests, Colonial style throughout and like stepping back in time. Keenly priced and excellent value for money. Breakfast at the...

Well managed booking with Molly giving us prompt info. plus an idea of the idyllic atmosphere awaiting us . After Cape Town and Knysna we felt we had reached the real Africa here. Conor was great fun and full of knowledge about the wildlife and history of Addo and surrounds. The symphony of crickets , frogs and nightjars was wonderful...

We learned from Molly and Conor just by the recommendation of friends and so we had a few expectations. But these were really topped because they gave as a feeling like coming home to old friends. The accomodation, the food (breakfast, dinner and the wine as well), the chats and of course the "safari" with Conor in Addo National Park:...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
As the name suggests, "Colonial Africa" is the theme in architecture, decor, setting and atmosphere of The Colonial on Arundel. Nestling in citrus orchards on a working farm, only 10 minutes from the malaria free Addo Elephant National Park, this 4 star 2-suite facility offers understated luxury, coupled with relaxed, friendly attention, and is enhanced by highly acclaimed cuisine. Each suite has private entrance, its own private lounge and private swimming pool. In-house safaris with Conor, the owner and a registered guide, to the Addo Elephant National Park, will enhance your African adventure. These tours are undertaken in a air-conditioned vehicle and offer the visitor an experience in wildlife, culture and unforgettable scenery. Conor and Molly have created a truly special place that goes to the very heart of relaxation and comfort. Within easy reach are mountain walks, horse-riding, elephant back safaris, farm excursions, cheetah breeding farm tours and visits into nearby private reserves. The Colonial is truly a place where our guests leave as friends, to return time and time again. The warm welcome feeling extends right down to our Head of Public Relations, Marley the Labrador, who successfully creeps into everyone's heart. Within a 45-minute drive of Port Elizabeth Airport and the beaches, and also the gateway to the Karoo, as well as to the Garden Route to Cape Town, The Colonial on Arundel is truly the desirable Eastern Cape place to be in every respect.
