Nice resort on the lake. Well appointed and warm atmosphere. We would recommend a little more transparency from the hotel when booking: There’s no staff on-site outside of 9am to 9pm (late arrivals get treated to a lengthy email describing how to retrieve room keys and accessing the property) There’s only 4 parking spots, unless you want to park up the hill across the street. (Although they have indoor parking for only $19 per day but only tell you on the second day) Although there’s a sofa bed, the bed sheets are extra ($65!) The rooftop hot tub needs to be reserved (30 minutes per room per day)

Let me start by saying this was supposed to be a trip for myself and our 2 children ages 3 and 8. When we arrived the hotel was beautiful from the outside. We were Advised due to covid cleaning the room would need a little later then expected to be cleaned - which is great but waiting with kids not lol. So we went to the restaurant on the property. The server was delightful and so pleasant with my kids! Ordered wine, pizza and nachos which were all very good and served with a smile. ( even after some changes) We got the 3 bedroom condo. Which was super spacious- new and clean. I was very impressed! Only issue for us is, as a family there isn’t much to do on the property. No other kids- no pool, no beach, play area etc. Keep that in mind when deciding. The staff was was kind and acomidating.

Rented 2 units for an extended family outing. Very confortable. Pretty soundproof. Nice rooms with TV. Table for six and confortable sofa. Nice view of the lake. Nice size spa. Appreciated having bathrobes and pool towels. Could have a few extra utensils to eat so as not to use the dishwasher as much. Nice outdoor fireplace.

The place is good and a great place to stay, don't get me wrong. But this is not what's expected when a very high premium is payed for this location. Maybe a good place for long stays if you are not charged a fortune. Approximately$400 was charged for 2 nights with single supply of towels, limited parking and you get one if you are lucky, no food, self cleanup! 'This is a condo and not a hotel' is not a valid reasoning, we didn't rent from the owners (like Airbnb where all these reasonigs stand valid), but from a professional agency/brand who manages this. So I strongly believe it's your responsibility to make sure that the guests get what they deserve.
Tell me one good reason that justifies why someone should rent this place for this rate and not a 4star hotel for a price may be lesser than this.
The gentleman at the reception deserves special thanks since he went all the way beyond his responsibilities to move his car and help me in getting a parking spot across the road in that winter storm. All the staff were best at their service. Shame on the management to give the employees a tough time.

We got there at 4 which was the check in time we were told on the phone. When we go there the room wasnt even cleaned yet and we had to wait till 5:30 with 3 kids. when we finally got into the room it was even as clean as it should be especially with the new covid regulations. There was dog hair on the table and chairs, fridge had not been cleaned.... finally when evening came we were talking on the balcony with adult friends at 8pm and we got called by the front Desk To give us a warning and threaten to kick us out even if the rules permit till 11pm. They were rude and impatient it was clear they did not want kids in their complex. The day we checked out they charged me an extra 200$ because my sofa bed was opened!!!! On top of the 300$/night. We stayed 3 days in a 2 bedroom and my bill came up to 1400$. I do not recommend this place. It is beautiful but not worth it.

Very noisy room. Impossible to sleep until 4 am because of poor insulation and music from other rooms. Nothing done by management and no staff as of early evening. Clean room but very stingy on amenities. Poor service overall.

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our marriage anniversary close to St-Sauveur. As we could not find any decent dog friendly hotel, we chose the Viking Resort and Marina. Well, what a disappointment! This place is composed of condos. Ours was pretty pathetic. I paid several extra fees, I did not choose the cheapest room at all. However, all furniture in the condo was particularly uncomfortable. Nowhere in the resort has a king size bed. I also offered them.to.pay extra for a bathtub via emails. It was not possible.... The bed was small and very high. The bed frame was bigger than the bed so we always hit ourselves in the frame. The floor was covered by cheap plastic and it was very slippery when.we wear socks. The bathroom did not include a bath, only a shower cabin. In the bedroom.there was no.tv, no gardrob to hang our clothes. It the publicity of this place, we read that there are hiking places around the resort. One of the selling points of this place we thought because we hike a lot with our dog. Well, the longest hiking trail was 1 km long, I can say it was not exactly what we expected...... Two positive things about this place: the service and the terasse of our condo. However, it does not wort the money at all. It should be qualified as 2-3 star place, definitely not 4 star.

Out of all the hotels I have been to upnorth, this was by far my worst stay. We usualy go to L'esterel, but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked. I made my reservation over the phone. The lady said I can check in anytime. After dinner I get to the hotel, and the reception is CLOSED! I ring I call, no answer! I decide to call the EMERGENCY number, this lady picks up the phone, half asleep telling me I am disturbing her that she is sleeping... oh sorry But I would like to get in my room I paid 350$ for and Im here standing outside ..... She finally tells me where the key is, and tells me my room is in the.... BASEMENT!!!! omg I tell her I don’t wanna sleep in the basement, I didnt pay 350$ to sleep in the basement. She says sorry that’s all we have. Anyways I get to my room, no luxury in what so ever, very plain room, bed hard as hell and a cheap sofa bed. I had the worse night of sleep ever. And on top of it there was dry VOMIT on wall in the bathroom. I had to wash the walls it was so disgusting. I made a complaint the next day. They didn't do nothing about it. They sent the “cleaning team” to my room and they came back LAUGHING. The lady in charge at the front desk said she will give me 10% on my next visit, when she clearly knew I was never coming back. So my advise, book l’Esterel and if they are full book any other hotels even 3 stars is better than Le Viking. And also their restaurant is not opened so you cant even have breakfast there in the morning. That place is a BIG FAILURE.
