We had an amazing time there. The staff was very welcoming, the accommodation was nice. The breakfast was definitely the best I ever had in Ecuador, not to forget the lovely see view whilst dining. We had dinner there too and it was also very good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!

If you're like me, you appreciate getting off the beaten path and exploring. Farallon Dillon is not only a hotel and restaurant but it also has a nautical museum; an amazing adventure into the world of traveling the oceans to far away places and the nautical skills to get you there. The owners, Cap. Alberto and his wife Yolanda welcomed... More

You can watch the whales jumping from this fabulous and rustic charming hotel on the cliff. It is like staying in a living nautical museum. Yolanda, the captain and his staff are very helpful and friendly. We felt very welcome and enjoyed many personal attentions from them. The food (every day) and entertainment on Saturday nights (not every Saturday though)... More

This was the third time visiting this fantastic hideaway outside of Salinas. The first time we came an Ecuadorian friend brought us and introduced us to the owner and owner's son. We only had beers and took many photos. There is so much to see at this place. It is better than 95% of the museums I've been to around... More

We ate at the restaurant. The owner suggested the oyster to start and we were amazed! Baked in the shell with cheese and other quality ingredients! Then I had the Sea Bass, which was wonderful. The service was wonder also...the owner showed us around and treated us like old friends! We can not wait to visit Ecuador again to visit... More

We stopped here for lunch one day while on vacation in Salinas. It's a little out of the way, but well worth the trip. The place was so charming and the view from the deck where we ate was beautiful. Inside the restaurant is a chock full of every imaginable relic from the sea, our kids loved exploring every inch... More

Only went there to go surfing. Paying the entrance you get a free water and can take a shower and asking leave your bags with the staff. The beach is also accessible entering not through the hotel. But for me it was definitely worth the $2. You can enjoy a really stunning view and have a drink. Food at the... More

Where do we begin? Farallon Dillon has to be the most magical place to stay! We loved it so much that we left after a beautiful stay to a far region in Ecuador and came back for five days after I broke my leg. They were so wonderful that I stayed at Farallon Dillion with a triple fracture till our... More

All I can say is that this hotel is amazing. The staff at Hosteria Farallon Dillon is what makes this hosteria simply magnificent. No detail is overlooked. Breakfast was included in our rate and was offered on our terrace if we didn't want to go downstairs. The restaurant is beautifully appointed and in the middle of their Nautical Museum. It... More

This is a beautiful place, located not far from the popular town of Salinas. It's sailor theme is well executed, and if you like pirates and the Navy, you'll feel at home. Like a lot of people mention in their reviews, the restaurant is bad and expensive. Staff however is very friendly and helpful. The honeymoon suite is beautiful at... More

“Definitely request a room on the cliff (there were two). We traveled with a very large group and everyone paid the same rate regardless of what room they were placed in. The rooms along the ocean are extremely spacious, accommodating, beautiful, and have a lot of character.”
