We have just returned from Piedmont and our (too) short one night stay at Miaclara. This is the perfect base for exploring the exquisite wine areas of Barolo and Barbaresco and in particular the city of Alba. The location is quiet and stunningly picturesque but also only a short 5 minute drive to Alba where you can enjoy some of the finest Piedmont cooking.
We stayed in the separate stable annex with is decorated in true Italian style. The bed was very comfortable and you have your own private garden area and patio.
The breakfast was the best we have had in Italy. Delicious coffee, pastries, fresh fruit and yoghurt as well as eggs. We went into Alba for dinner.

This place was absolutely amazing from the staff to the rooms. The staff and the owners were very polite and serviceminded, we felt welcome and relaxed from the moment we arrived. The Photos does not make this place justice.
The rooms were hospital clean with aircondition and a beautiful view of the countryside. We had dinner at their little osteria, which was exqusite, they also make Wine which you have to taste!
All in all, it is good value for money and the best placed we have stayed in Italy.

A special credit goes to the waiter/all around guy (he had only been here for a month, but he had such a great energy, greeting when we arrived, calm and friendly attitude towards us at dinner), who made our stay unforgettable.

We can’t wait to come back to Mia Clara

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. We had such a lovely time getting spoiled by the very kind owners and their staff. The beautiful rooms are very comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed the great wine of Pietro Rinaldi in the cosy garden overlooking the beautiful hills full of wine yards. We would definitely love to return one day!

As other reviewers have stated, the accommodations are wonderful with spacious, quiet, comfy rooms, lovely linens, great shower, and even an Espresso maker. We are three couples who stayed for 6 nights and loved everything about our stay. Many hoteliers say "we want you to feel at home". However, Paolo and Monica make it real. They are gracious, accommodating, and lovely. I mentioned that I love figs and the next morning there's a beautiful plate of figs for breakfast. We asked if they could recommend a cooking class, and they organized a cooking class with a lovely and talented chef who took us shopping at the fabulous local markets and we made pasta and regional dishes at the Relais. And, their wines are fabulous - it was absolutely delightful to sit outside and enjoy the wines. We enjoyed the wines so much we all ordered cases. The breakfast was wonderful - fresh breads and pastries, excellent coffee, freshly squeezed juice, cheeses, charcuterie, fruit, etc. We highly recommend a stay with these exceptional hosts!

In the middle of the wine fields lies this gem. Worthy renovated with stylish decor. The breakfast in the garden is wonderful, large selection of cheeses, breads and fruit from the garden.
We got many great tips on both excursions and restaurants, the reservations for our restaurants were made by the hotel and welcomed tables were waiting for us.
Wine production has been in the family for decades and the wine tasting of the farm's wines was a highlight.
A place to return to!

We stayed here two nights for the truffle festival in Alba. The hotel was lovely, large rooms with comfortable beds, and set in a vineyard. The town of Alba was about a 10 minute drive away. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcome and did everything to make our stay wonderful and homey. We arranged a dinner here one night as well and the food was delicious, as are the wines! Can't wait to come back!

We have just returned from staying at Miaclara Relais for 3 nights and what a wonderful time we had. The place is a renovated building in the middle of the Azienda Agricola vineyard which produce wines under the Pietro Rinaldi label. It is a beautiful setting less than a 10 minutes drive from Alba in rolling hills and vineyards in a tiny village called Madonna di Como. The room was beautiful, Paolo and Monica have great taste and have decorated the place in a perfect balance of modern facilities with antique/rustic charm. I would have bought half the furniture if I could! The property has 3 rooms and a communal breakfast/wine tasting lounge which is very comfortable. The hosts are so very friendly and helpful and provide a breakfast fit for a king, what with that and the endless array of fine dining in the area I have come home about half a kilo heavier. Paolo was great in providing recommendations for places to eat or just to visit and made reservations for us (I should have said we are a combination of a gluten free half and a vegetarian half and we ate sooo well!). If you ask nicely you can also get a tour of the winery, which is an impressive affair and has a beautiful view over the valley. Enough waxing lyrical, I can't recommend this place enough, go there and a have a lovely time.

Our family stayed 3 nights at Miaclara Relais in July and wish we could have stayed longer and would love to go back.

We stayed in the detached cottage and it was perfect for us and our one year old daughter.

Some highlights of our trip:

- Staff is amazing, they make you feel like family and showered our baby with love. We'd go back just to hang around them again.
- Breakfast is great, they will also make special requests. Take advantage.
- Wine tasting was very nice and Ombretta is terrific. I would not miss this (we took the baby with - the tour is on site and easy to do)
- Room is super comfortable and the semi separate room for the baby to sleep was great. The terrace is so relaxing.
- Alba is a short drive away and the staff will arrange reservations, just ask

Highly recommended and would definitely go back!
