Location was great, at the Bolsena Lake, although our room did not face the lake, but rather the parking lot. Plus points: roomy bathroom with strong water flow. Buffet breakfast was plenty and varied. Negative points: restaurant was closed (due to off-season, but were directed to a nice pizzeria near-by), mattress was somewhat old and the heating seemed to require...

The hotel is lovely - just outside the old town centre of Bolsena and located on the shores of lake Bolsena. The rooms are small (to be expected in Italy), yet adequate with shower in the ensuite. We booked lake view rooms which have a large balcony which overlook the beautiful lake. The foyer and restaurant areas are really beautiful...

Lovely balcony and view of the lake which makes up for the slightly smaller room. Like a lot of smaller hotels in Italy. No lift. But the first floor steps are not too steep . Very quiet . I don't think I have seen anyone other than the receptionist since 10 this morning. Need to drive into town but local...

We spent one night here, enough to sample the terrace, dinner, rooms and breakfast. The terrace overlooks the lake, food being served is great value for money, rooms are very comfortabe, breakfast is a little disappointing. Raw eggs and a DIY egg cooker, really?

We stayed at the Palace Hotel. We had rooms at the back which were very modern, of high quality and very quiet. The cleaning lady was very pleasant and kept our rooms spotless. All the hotel staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The private beach was really convenient and never busy. Bolsena itself is...

Only 12 rooms in this beachside hotel, there's a terrace with flowers and in the evening candles lit along it so looks magical, food in the restaurant was really good, the breakfasts were ok but much to much sweet cakes etc, i found the bread not great in flavour but then apparently bread at different hotels were just the same!...

We had the room with a lake view, the room was very small and I could not imagine staying there for longer than two days because there is no room for things. The walls were very "thin" everything was heard! Staff was helpful and the food in the restaurant was tasty but unfortunatly the room was just basic and bit...

We stayed at this hotel on the way back from a holiday in Tuscany. We stayed two nights and wish it had been more. We stayed at the Palace side which does not have the sea. Owes but does have the benefit of immaculate rooms, of large size, which appear almost new. You can cross the road, which is busy,...

We stayed at the Hotel Lido mid May of this year in a lake front double with terrace. I had high expectations, but was let down when reality sunk in. The lobby looks great, very high level. The hotel has no elevator, but the service was so good that the front desk people readily, and without any request, helped us...

When booking this hotel it was difficult to get an idea of exactly how close it was to Bolsena town. Google maps suggested about 1km which was fine as we are happy to walk. We arrived in Bolsena by bus from Orvieto and tried to find the hotel using google maps. Google maps gives you a location in Bolsena, just...
