A stellar location in the heart of Tuscany, the appended restaurant is worth a visit it it’s own right, fantastic food and wine selection at very fair prices. The hotel is well positioned at the top of a small hill with fantastic views from the poolside area. The service, especially in light of the current circumstances was superb - I look forward to returning soon.
We stayed here for 5 nights in September and would have stayed another night had they not been full. We treated ourselves to one of their executive patio rooms - so we had a spacious bedroom as well as a lovely private patio. Sadly the weather wasn't great, so we only had breakfast out there once, but is was a great place to leave our bikes! The setting is idyllic and the pool was lovely, although we did only go in a couple of times. Without a shadow of a doubt, the highlight of our stay was the food and wine. A coup of times we opted for their tasting menu, but on the other evening we ate a la carte - the most memorable of these was the risotto with 3 types of caviar/lumpfish. What we came to realise was that it didn't matter what you had - every mouthful was going to be superb. The lovely sommelier also did a fabulous job recommending some excellent wines - some local, some not, but without fail, they all achieved a score of 4 or over on Vivino - and that's quite some feat for night after night Breakfast was fine - quite simple, but tasty. You can have eggs - but only boiled to scrambled, other than that it's meat, cheese, fruit, cereals and pastries. If you want a full cooked breakfast this might not be your best choice, but if you want a beautiful hotel in an amazingly tranquil location (with a strada bianca running directly from the vineyard), fabulous staff and the most wonderful restaurant - book this place - it's impossible to be dissapointed.…
From my arrival and welcome to my departure after 5 nights, everything at this hotel was spot on! Beautiful and spacious rooms, an by Michelin recommended restaurant with delicious food, good breakfast and a superb location with amazing views over the glorious hills of Tuscany. My solotrip was all about wine tastings and experiencing the best of this region, and after a long day nothing beats the gorgeous views from the pool! Special thanks to Andrea (reception), who welcomed me with such warmth. I will be back as soon as possible!
We stayed here (couple) begin september for 9 days. Let me begin by commending the staff. Very friendly, discrete and helpfull. People make a difference. The staff of Le Piazze is exceptional. The Locanda is located amidst the vine yards, beautiful scenery. Well kept gardens, very nice pool with good sunbeds and shade. Nice rooms. Breakfast was very good (you mark the things you want for the next morning on a paper) and served (Covid19) at the table. Dining at tavola di Guido was a treat. Well located to visit the small towns in the neighborhood. We especially liked Radda in Chianti. We love to go back here !
This is the most wonderful hotel, in a beautiful location in the heart of Tuscany. We were fortunate to be upgraded to an executive room and wow it was wonderful. The views are just incredible, the pool and grounds are superb and the food is just divine. We treated ourselves to the tasting menu one evening and weren't disappointed, it was delicious and didn't disappoint, we had the suggested wines which worked so well with the food - worth every penny, highly recommend trying out. The staff were excellent- humoured and encouraged our attempts at speaking Italian. Very attentive in a very professional way. We will definitely be making a return visit. The perfect place to unwind and be spoilt.
