We are well seasoned Tripadvisor travellers and very used to agriturismos in Tuscany. We were expecting good things here but sadly there are lots of things that disappoint. Tuscany has wonderful views of meadows, vineyards and olive groves so it’s slightly disappointing to find Podere Cogno is down in a valley enclosed by trees. But it is wonderfully quiet and...

I have to say this is one of the best B&B We’ve been, it’s all about care and atmosphere. Marco, Giovanna and family we’re amazing hosts. We ate supper twice there, the food is home-made cook and it feels like an Italian relative cooked it for you. Local produce, generous and very tasty. The restaurant in the evening has the...

Our 4th visit to Podere Cogno. That in itself should say it all. And we will go back again in the future. If you are looking for somewhere to get away from it all, to relax and recharge your batteries, then this is the place for you. And did I mention the stunning location on an olive farm, where they...

Podere cogno offers suites or self catering cottages on an olive farm. It is a beautiful place, we have visited it four times now having never repeated a previous holiday. The suites are traditionally furnished but with necessary mod cons like showers. The setting is stunning and the pool is hard to resist. However when you can drag yourself away...

We arrived about 3 hours later than expected due to a late flight and our GPS rental which kept shutting down in Florence. Marco met us as we pulled into the villa. What a beautiful place. Classic old Tuscany Villa. 2 km from Castellina in Chanti (this is important as we ate all of our meals at either Podere Cogno...

We stayed at Podere Cogno in october, 2011. We were traveling with our two sons and daughter-in-law. We were greeted by Marco and Giovanna who speak very good english. They are very friendly and have many suggestions of what to see. Florence and Sienna are not far from the villa. We chose the family suite on the second floor and...

We stayed at Podere Cogno for a week in August. In short, it was fantastic! The location is stunning: A secluded italian farmhouse 2 minutes down a dusty track from road from Castellina in Chianti. We stayed in the self-catering appartment, which gave us our own outdoor space, kitchen, living room, whilst still allowing use of the grounds and dining...

This really is a hidden gem in delightful surroundings in Tuscany run by one of the nicest families you could ever wish to meet. Our third visit and it will not be our last. Excellent food is served by the owners every evening but if you wish to eat out Marco ( the owner ) will be pleased to recommend...

Our recent 9 day visit to Podere Cogno was our fourth and we will definitely return. The idyllic location coupled with fabulous food and, in Marco and Giovanna, two of the most hospitable, friendly and helpful people you could hope to meet make this place really special.

My Wife & I have just returned from our fourth visit to Podere Cogno & I have to say nothing has changed, this place continues to be fantastic. During our 9 day stay the owners Marco & Giovanna helped by their daughters made our stay as memorable as our previous visits. If after reading the reviews you think this place...
