This is a knockout hotel with pontoon swimming pools projecting into the lake. It's visible for km around and has that lovely old world grandness that emanates from the villa, and its greenery behind rising to the mountains. It's a gemstone incomparable magical. Seeing a lithograph of the early 19th Century it bears a similar facade today. Crags with fortified...

The hotel and grounds are simply beautiful. The pool is incredible, the service was great. I stayed with my family and our rooms were lovely, views fantastic. We ate one night at restaurant and we're left unimpressed, though. I recommend anyone stay here.

Stayed at the Villa d'Este for two nights before heading to Venice. It was our second time there and it was just as beautiful as ever. This is Italian old world charm at it's best. The breathtaking views will leave you taking pictures for hours and the food and wine will have you feeling happy and fulfilled. I love this...

Villa D'Este is the former house of a (semi)royal Este family back in who-knows-when. It was their summer "cottage" but this place is HUGE, laced with drappings of carpets, pictures, goldplated furniture, flower gardens, waterfountains and the most explicit view of Lake Como that you can get! Situated 5 miles from Como, the place is secluded from the public, service...

For us, Villa d'Este is a very special place. My wife, my daughter and I connect so many wonderful memories. I still remember the mix of euphoria and exhilaration, when we arrived for the first time some years ago. The glittering lake, the ample classical palace, the refined gardens, the always delightful staff, the illustrious guests - this all lifts...

There is no other place like this in the world. There was a classic feeling about this hotel that made you feel like you took a step back in time. We had the Top Junior Suite which gave us views of the immaculate gardens and lake and it was one of the most incredible rooms we have ever stayed in....

I went here with my family in September. The hotel bring on a very old world elegance vibe. We stay in the Queen's building which had a large room and excellent views. I would highly recommend this hotel as a perfect jumping spot to the various towns around the lake.

Great hotel and grounds. Rooms are well appointed. Service is great! A once in a lifetime experience for most but well worth the effort and expense. It is a step back in time to when manners and dress code were important and when you are having a cocktail or a meal overlooking the beautiful grounds, pool and lake you realise...
