We recently enjoyed a very romantic, relaxing and idyllic two nights in one of France's hidden treasures, Abbaye de la Bussiere. Our tastefully decadent suite (Ermitage) was simply one of the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. Featuring a slightly risque decor of darkest grey (Fifty Shades?) and fuchsia pink, the most comfortable bed and a double, sunken...

I have been to the abbaye 4 times and am about to go back for a 5th. I'm from LA, but live in Paris and of all of the places in the world I have dined and stayed, the abbaye is still at the top of the list. This last summer I spent weeks travelling to incredible chateau from the...

My wife and I spent a week during the grape harvest of Champagne & Burgundy touring vineyards and purchasing wine. The highlight of all was the two nights spent at the Abbaye. This is a converted monastery made into a stunning French countryside hotel in an unbelievable setting. The view out our windows was across a park like meadow to...

After pouring though the details of hundreds of hotels in France to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary we came across the Abbaye and what a find. The hotel and restaurant are spectacular have been carefully and stylishly restored from a Monastery. The rooms are beautiful and well equipped and in the restaurant we agreed that is was possibly the best...

My wife and I and a friend from England booked two rooms for one night at this amazing hotel. After touring Dijon during the day, we made our way to this chateau about 30 minutes outside of town. The directions and signs were easy to follow and we found it without any trouble. We were impressed with the setting and...

We stayed in the Cluny suite for 6 nights in July. Our stay was perfection. The suite was a nice combination of historic and modern, with an amazing bathtub! We had 3 meals in the Michelin 1* restaurant. The food, service and ambiance were wonderful. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. The Abbaye is located in a beautiful park...

We stayed at the Abbey for 4 nights and used it as a hub to explore the region. The Abbey is a lovely restored building and is set in landscaped grounds. We stayed in one of larger suites and it was comfortable and spacious. The breakfasts were high quality. The Abbey is in a relatively isolated location, therefore you have...

This perfectly restaured convent houses a stunning hotel surrounded by luscious gardens with large pond and parks. You enter a different world when you pass the gates to the grounds of the hotel. Staff is very welcoming. The rooms are very comfy and characteristic, but with all the modern comfort. Just stroling around the hotel makes you feel like the...

A countryside location away from the cities/towns of Burgundy. Quite lovely grounds, with cut lawns and lake. Service was friendly and welcoming with English spoken by all. We ate in the michelin starred restaurant with our 3 children. Aside from one of their meals being totally forgotten, the rest of the dining experience was great. The Suite was well equipped....

We travel a great deal and this hotel is exceptional in every way.Of course the grounds are heavenly-so peaceful! The food was fabulous and the rooms very comfortable though the noise from the air conditioner would probably annoy some people-however not us! The staff are exceptional particularly in the dining room and were what prompted me to write my first...
