We were looking for a one night stay to breakup the drive from Rome to La Spezia. We found a groupon for this hotel including a 3-course dinner (1 star michelin!) breakfast, 4 hours at hot springs. Were amazed at how gorgeous it was. The food was incredible. The hot springs crowded (a holiday) but fun and relaxing!

We decided to change things up a little. So we took the train from Rome to Chiusi and then drive from there to Pienza. Since the car rental place didn't re-open until 3 PM, we wanted to stay in Chiusi for the night. I just lucked on to this place. It has a very solicitous staff, beautiful grounds and a...

Again a great experience. It was not our first time (perhaps 5th or so) and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Great base in Tuscany to reach many different towns and driving around is very easy. Outstanding service, staff is fantastic, Tuscan style rooms are very comfortable. La Taverna restaurant is amazing and makes you feel at home; will try the Michelin...

Wow, it's was amazing stay, a lovely place in a middle of a Tuscany trip. An amazing view for a short walking trip in the morning after a great breakfest. The rooms are nice, a solid sleep experience, with nice traditional decorations. What's is the best in this hotel is the great restaurants he has to offer. We went to...

This farm is situated on a hill with a sweeping view of vineyards and the old city rising up on a cliff. Our room was large, very comfortable with a private terrace. Well worth the extra. The bathroom was modern and spacious. We booked in for breakfast and dinner. The slow food philosophy is a belief system adhered to...delicious. We...

Stayed here for 2 nights for a short break in the area. Lovely grand house, nice small rooms with comfortable beds, nice clean bathrooms. Must mention there is no lift, but help is available with your luggage. Breakfast is limited to scrambled eggs, bacon that has been sitting for a while and cheese, meats. The usual croissants and pastries, cakes,...

We stayed here for 2 nights in June 2016 while on a family vacation in Italy. The first night, my husband, twin 13 year old daughters and I ate dinner in the hotel's restaurant, La Taverna Del Patriarca. Very rustic and traditional. Pastas and meats were delicious and portions were large. We had two rooms across the hall from each...

I was here with a group of friends and family for a wedding at Poggio Piglia down the road. We decided to make a break of it and stayed for 4 nights. The hotel is in a great location, just minute's drive from the motorway, an hour and a half drive from Rome. It is on a hillside, in beautiful...

This is a lovely hotel, not very busy when we were there in early May. I picked it as we had stayed in Rome for a couple nights and were to pick up a house rental in Tuscany a couple days later. I chose Chiusi as it has a good rail connection from Rome and also has a Hertz car...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
... more   less
