Having stayed at this hotel before, we booked to stay again in May 2011. We were pleased to find this little gem as good as it was last time we stayed. Rooms are very spacious and clean and were were upgraded to Room 104 which was a suite. This had a sitting room with flat screen TV, kitchen with dishwasher,...

We stayed at Hotel Traiano the night before our cruise departure. The staff was excellent. Included was the dropoff at the cruise embarkation point. We were 1 adult and 2 kids and it enabled us to recover from the jet lag and be ready for our adventure. We were able to walk around town to restaurants. Arranged for pickup from...

I stayed at the Hotel Traiano before and after my cruise and found it to be a great place for a one or two night stay. The rooms were clean and spacious (especially for European standards). They provide a really nice breakfast that is included in the morning. There is free wi-fi in the hotel lobby, but not in the...

Good hotel for a pre-cruise stay. However, I would avoid meals at their "sister" hotel, Borgo Del Mar, as our dinner was the worst meal we had in Italy and was terribly overpriced. We will definitely stay at Hotel Traiano on our next trip to Italy but will avoid their dinner recommendations.

Once again we utilized this great little, charming hotel in Civitavecchia, Italy for a one night stay before embarking on a cruise. We stayed with them in October 2007 before a cruise to the Black Sea and now again in October 2010 before cruising across the Atlantic. The personnel are extremely pleasant and very helpful. When asked about a location...

This hotel was a very good choice to stay pre-cruise. The staff were very accommodating and transfers were arranged on our behalf. Beds are a little hard but not to the point of being uncomfortable. We were three couples and all had very nice, clean rooms, two of which had balconies. The morning breakfast was good. The hotel also offers...

We stayed one night at the hotel Trainano which is in a good position in the city. The kind staff at the hotel reccommended me to eat at Aqua restaurant,( a 5 minute walk from the hotel). Food and service very good and not expensive. I would reccommend either this hotel or restaurant if you are staying in Civitavecchia.

My husband and I plus another couple stayed for 1 night before our cruise. At first it didn't seem too bad but when we asked for ice they said that the ice machine was broken for the last few days. Then we realized that the air conditioning wasn't cooling off the room at all. We had a guy from the...

This continues to be a wonderful hotel with all the conveniences before a cruise. Free wi-fi and port shuttle along with included breakfast and a good clean room at a good price. Great Hotel.

Be very careful if you stay here. We had our most uncomfortable experience in a three week trip to Italy at this hotel. We had booked one night before taking the ferry to Sardinia. The hotel advertises a complimentary morning shuttle to the port. On our reservation confirmation, it stated again (and was underlined for emphasis) that the room included...
