We had a great one night stay. The view is extraordinary, the beds are comfortable, the staff is wonderful and the morning breakfast was "just right". They even provided a free shuttle to the cruise terminal at noon. I would highly recommend for one or more nights.
We stayed here for one night, previous a cruice holiday. Our chozen hotel had made an error, so this was the only place left in Civitavecchia to stay, and we did not know anything about it. This is not a hotel we would hav chosen, this is 15 minutes by car away from the center. But if you like it very quiet, this could be a very nice place, so when we give this 3 stars for location, it is because we would like a hotel more central, but the people who book this hotel, might really like it. No shops, no restaurants in the area, but great view over the city. And the restaurant in the hotel is very nice, and serves very good food. The hotel has a big outdoor swimming-pool, and children would really like this activity with their parents. The room was very specious, but could use some renovation and cleaning, and the air-condition was not be best. The service is very, very nice. They were most helpful with everything, and we felt very welcome here. And the surroundings are beautiful at night! They have lamps in the trees, and it is very cosy!
We visited this resort in May for two nights, unfortunately we got off to a bad start at the railway station in Civitavecchia, work was in progress on the platform but no help was available for older people with their luggage and I had a bad fall. Fortunately this was all forgotten at the hotel. What a lovely place, it is quite unique. The setting is so peaceful and the scenery is beautiful. The restaurant is first class and the staff could not be more helpful. I knew we were visiting Civitavecchia again in October for 2 nights and wanted to stay again but didn't book there and then......How stupid. When I did try and book only one night was free so I am desperately waiting to see if someone will cancel. My advice to all is to book early at this very special hotel.
Great restaurant ,lovely property, room basic but clean , staff very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were lovely with an outdoor pool area, continental breakfast was good. Great place to spend the night before a cruise. The owner drove us to the ship terminal at no cost
Cruising from Civitavecchia? Do yourself a favor and fly into Rome at least a day early, in order to stay at this delightful family-owned hotel. Located on a peaceful hilltop, overlooking the harbor, this retreat gives you the perfect opportunity to rest and relax after a trans Atlantic flight. We arrived early and exhausted after a delayed flight from Los Angeles to New York, a long layover at that airport, followed by our flight to Rome. We were given a friendly welcome, despite our very early arrival and after a short wait, a room was readied for us. No sooner did we get in the door, than we crashed on the bed and slept for 5 hours, barely waking up to scoot into the restaurant at the tail end of lunch service. Again, our gracious hosts went out of their way to see to it that we enjoyed a delicious, filling lunch. Dinner and breakfast the following morning were also excellent. The grounds are attractive, with interesting views of the ranch and plenty of room to walk around. A swimming pool was being readied for the season, although not yet open. There was plenty of comfortable outdoor seating for casual conversation or relaxing reading. Another big plus was the free shuttle bus which delivered us; to the cruise terminal with plenty of time to spare. Our one regret was only allocating a one night stay at Tenuta dell'Argento. If we ever have the opportunity, we will happily make a return visit.
