Very nice views of the town and surrounding mountains, comfortable and spacious room with 2 full bathrooms, 2 balconies and a small living room/dining room, very comfortable bed and pull out couches. Staff speaks very good English and is helpful. Cute fire place in the lobby, but lit only between 7-10pm. Breakfast was very limited and same every day, no...

On the positive side, the hotel is centrally located, the personal is friendly and the rooms are clean. However, we had several problems. When we arrived to the room there were no towels. We called reception immediately but it took more than one hour until someone came over with towels. One of the lamps in the bathroom was flickering. We...

Not really sure about this place? Would I stay again? Probably not. Here's why.... The location is FANTASTIC, right in the heart of Cortina with all the restaurants only a few minutes away on foot! This was a family ski holiday, so the short-ish distance to the closest ski lift also welcome. Reception area nice, with a welcome fireplace and...

I've been going to Domina Home Alaska for about 10 years and I've watched how things have 'changed' in terms of customer service and amenities. Year after year there have been complete overhauls in the restaurant personnel and it looks like they've finally hit it on the nose - which gave me the incentive to write my first review for...

I sort of stumbled onto the hotel, having had every intention of staying somewhere distant from Cortina, where prices may be cheaper. But this popped up in a search and the price difference was so small that it was worth the extra few euros for the convenience of being in Cortina. The one night's intended stay so save us from...

I strongly recommend the hotel. The room very large, comfortable and impeccably clean. It was actually a mini-appartment more than a room because besides the bedroom, there was a living room and we actually had two bathrooms, extremely clean. I read previous reviews about old furniture: the furniture isn't actually old, it's simply in the typical Ampezzo/Tyrol style, which I...

I recommend this hotel. It is really near the bus station. It has a great location and a fantastic view with balconies. The triple room is very large with two separated rooms. The beds are comfy and the bathroom is very clean. This is a typical hotel with old furniture and wood, but that makes it the way it is!...

We stayed for a weekend in Cortina. The structure is old but well kept. Personnel is kind and helpful, breakfast excellent. The hotel is situated next to the main "Corso", offers indoor garage at a cost, and the rooms are big and airy. Price for the room with B+B is vey competitive.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Alaska is synonymous with relaxation and worldliness, a hotel in the heart of Cortina d'Ampezzo , worthy to its location, which is one of the most renowned in the Dolomites. It is strategically situated, within a few steps of those services one should not renounce during a stay in the mountains, such as a ski and mountaineering school, an old church and the historic streets of shopping in Cortina. The gorgeous scenery of the Dolomites stretches all around as far as the eye can see. From the solarium terrace of the hotel the panorama is of indescribable, a generous witness of the majestic beauty of nature beauty. The spacious and bright rooms are warm and comfortable. A refined simplicity inspired by the characteristic alpine style, where wood is predominating and where comfort and wellness are essential factors. From the balconies of these full comfort rooms, you can enjoy moments of absolute peace by admiring the enchanting mountain peaks. Hotel Alaska's cuisine offers its best, with proposals that can satisfy even the most discerning palates. From the morning to the evening sitting at the table will be a pleasure.
