We have several times stayed over nights in the shared rooms while climbing and trekking in the region. The meals are really nice, traditionally with a pasta for starter and meat for main course, and a dessert. There were at least 5 or 6 options...More
We walked up here from the car park, a stunning walk through the woods on good paths and then a road. Last bit on stony tracks right under the Cinque Torre. Heart stopping views at the top. What a place to stop for a drink!
What a choice of local specialities! Polenta, various meat...and pasta! I took the one with aubergine souce, topped with local cheese - amazing flavours combination! But skip the salads - they're fine but seem a bit a waste of time when the choice of other...More

The rooms I have visited have 4 to 10 beds. The rooms are designed only for sleep, and you need to be OK with sharing the bit crammed space with others. However, given the surroundings, who would want to sit in the room any way. The 4 bed rooms had access to the second floor balcony with the astonishing view, so you should definitely try to get these rooms.
There are 3 bathrooms in the corridor, shared between all rooms. You should try to be in time to avoid a queue to the bathroom before dinner time. At low season you can usually use the bathroom without waiting.

"During high season reserve and pay in advance from the website. Try to get a room with balcony."
