The last and by far the best restaurant on the last day of our ski party trip. Situated on top of the mountain with superb views. We started off sat outside but as the snow came down we moved indoors and were fortunate to get a table. I had the roast potatoes which were just so delicious and warming. Pudding...

It has taken me a long time to write this review, but this rifugio was a highlight of our trip to the Dolomites. Words are inadequate to describe the beautiful views from our lovely room. We did a fabulous walk up Setsas, and this was followed by truly great food. We only stayed one night on a walking trip, but...

My wife and I honeymooned here on our last night in the Dolomites. What a stunning location surrounded by the Dolomites. This hardly feels like a "Rifugio" and more like a 4 Star hotel. The food here was some of the best we had in the Dolomites so make sure to get the half board option!

Luxury Rifugio in the middle of the Mountains. Can be accessed by hiking or via cable car. Really nice accommodations, food was excellent too. Very relaxing and friendly staff. You can do various day hikes from this location.

We were doing a hut-to-hut trek on the Alta Via 1 and 2, and the agency that arranged our trip told us that we would love this rifugio. Boy, were they right. Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, private bath, and incredibly delicious food. The agency had told us that Rifugio Pralongia would be the only one that actually paid attention to...

We stayed in this 'refuge' as part of a walking tour. It is in a beautiful position, surrounded by meadows, and with stunning views of the mountains. All the rooms were furnished to a high standard. They were recently refurbished in contemporary alpine style. The food was very good, and the staff were efficient and helpful. Although we arrived by...

We visited for 2 nights in early August 2013, a group with 2 moms, 5 little boys, and 2 grandparents. WE LOVED IT! I chose it over other rifugios in the region because the rooms have ensuite bathrooms, which the grandparents required. But it ended up being WAY more beautiful and comfortable and all around wonderful than I even imagined....

After a grueling 2 days of trekking this was the ultimate recovery Refugio. The service was 5 star, with 5 course fresh local dinner and the breakfast and lunch portions just perfect. We still cannot get over the value for Pralongia it surpasses any other Refugio's we've stayed in by far. Do yourself a favor and spend at least one...

I had read about making a vacation out of hiking between “huts” in the Alps, but couldn’t figure out an easy way to plan and execute a hiking vacation, having never been to Europe before. After some searching on-line, I came across Rifugio Pralongia in the Dolomites of Italy. It looked good, and I proceed to make arrangements via email....
