Loud, loud loud. Paid extra for a seaview room. Loud music playing all day from the beach directly across the road. Then discos take over at night and finish at around 3 am. Came home exhausted!! Very poor breakfast. Would never return.

We were here with my wife for one week during our summer holiday. The hotel is quite good nothing special. Clean, nice stuff and helpful reception. I'd like to highlight one thing. The food in the morning but especially dinner. It was amazing to explore lot and lot different foods every day. We as gastronomy maniacs really appreciated the menus...

Really nice place to stay. Friendly people at the reception, the bar and the restaurant. Hotel is generally rated as 3* but at the door it mentions 4* which it is worth. 2 minor downsides: breakfast ends early (9.30am) and employees do not speak English very well (but are very helpful though!). We made a reservation for a small room...

We spent 10 days at Villa Athena, which is actually three stars depadance of Sporting Baia Hotel located just across the street from the main building of the Hotel. Breakfast and dinner were served at dining room of Sporting Baia. Rooms in Villa Athena are small and basic but clean. Every single room has a balcony, tv, central aircon, free...

We spent 4 nights in this hotel. Very basic rooms, pretty spacious. Air-condition did not work 3 days and only blew air on the last day. Breakfast is rather dull, but plentiful, yet the waitress at the dining room was angry at my daughter for requesting two eggs ("one is not enough?"). The reception staff is quite efficient, but not...

We stayed 7 nights at this hotel and we could sleep only late in the night and with ear-plugs. It was incredibly loud because the young italian students that are the usual guests were shouting and slamming doors all the time. Other than that, the hotel has no isolation whatsoever and one can hear his neighbours pulling chairs on the...

The room was clean. Diner was poor, and tasteless, You could take only one dessert, And the waiter checked if you said you take one for your spouse. I suggest dining somewhere else. The view from the balcony at the 5th floor is awesome. Etna is in full view.

The staff were terribly rude and unhelpful. The food was disgusting. We were served hot dogs for dinner, and what was left of them were served at breakfast cut up into our salad. We were told not to change our towels. Also the staff said to one of our group, "I do not like Jews, or Israelis". when asked his...

Don't expect to be lavished by their 4* reward. This does not reflect our 4* quality we have in England. However it's a step back in time and we loved it, decor is from the 70s. The room we stayed in was 403a which was very reasonable in size and had a lovely view of the bay. Please note that...
