Great hotel inside historic wall. High ceilings, beautiful decor and furnishings. Friendly reception staff. Cold buffet breakfast but we knew this beforehand. Still put on a nice spread. Walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Staying at this elegant 12th century property is ideal for visiting the heart of Maremma, where the air we are breathing is the same that the ancient Etruscans breathed. Its hard to believe that this was once a malaria marsh called "bitter and cursed" a place where charcoal was gathered, herds of buffalo roamed and brigands hid from the authorities....

We stayed here for 5 nights whilst on the Saga “Postcards from Tuscany” Tour. It was like “going back in time” to stay in this classic, traditional hotel which features much marble, brass fittings in some bathrooms, shutters, and an attractive main staircase with an iron and brass balustrade. We found the hotel to be clean, and the staff efficient,...

Value for money it's not the place to be. We were a family of five couple & toddler + old couple. we booked two rooms. It's seems this hotel was renovated in the early 80's, rooms are large but all the interior design lacks and bit malfunction. As I said in the title, location is great, right in the center...

Located in the perfect location to go around and beside the courtesy of the staff and the free wifi on each floor, the hotel needs a full renovation! Carpet is everywhere, in bedrooms too! It is a no no. Specially if they are not even perfectly cleaned and smell a little bit! Think about what they can do to your...

This is a wonderful small hotel within the walled centre of Grosetto. The staff were very friendly and charming showing patience of saints with my husbands limited Italian. We booked a double superior room and other than the minor disappointment of having two single beds put together, we were happy with the room size, the elegant understated decor and the...

This grand hotel is safe, clean and at great location within the walled city. Baths are ultra modern and rooms are large and comfortable. If coming to this region this is a great local to call home. Wifi is adequate and breakfast is quite good. Easy walk to all attractions. Parking arrangements should be clarified (within the walls) and valet...

Perfectly located within the walls of the old town, this unexpected pleasure appeared in front of us as we eased through the city gate - following the cars gps. Rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast welcoming, and the whole experience made us regret we had booked for just 1 night. An easy 2 hour drive North from ROME airport -...

This is a charming hotel, right in the centre of Grosetto. The staff are very polite and can speak good English. We didn't have breakfast so cant comment on that but the rooms are very spacious and the bed is comfortable. They also have sky tv which you can switch to English if the original programme was in English originally....

Not easy to find but well worth it. Excellent location which is very close to historic centre. Very helpful staff, their restaurant recommendations were just what we requested. Room as required. Only drawback - no public spaces except for breakfast room.
