The hotel is good value for money, although more dated than anticipated. The parking is on street parking (rather than for the hotel specifically) you are able to get a space but it may take a bit of patience as the spaces go quickly! The rooms had excellent air con which was very appreciated. It was a good nights sleep, comfortable bed, clean etc. Breakfast is sufficient - nothing particularly exciting.

We stayed here for two night following an unexpected hospital stay in Lavagna. The rooms were clean and well kept. As with many small European hotels, the bathrooms were small. The family was wonderful and very accommodating. Breakfast is served and both lunch and dinner are available for hotel guests. For us, Lavagna and the Hotel Bristol gave us the true experience of living in a small Italian town. Grazie Mille, Ricardo!

We have been there just for one night, as a 3 stars hotel we thought was a bit better. The room was good but the bathroom is very small, particularly the shower box and over the mirror one of the tree lamps was out of its place with all the cables exposed. The parking may be a problem, since there is not a private one. The staff was really very kind and nice, the breakfast was good. It worth the price we paid fair enough.

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a student EF tour. My husband and I have taken students on 4 tours so we are not the most critical to European standards for accommodations. Hotel Bristol is your typical family run establishment. Friendly staff - although they speak hardly any English. The building is old -- one small lift -- rooms spacious but bathrooms were tiny. The ac unit worked well! Typical "inn style" key system - turn in your key before leaving the building. We were lucky enough to have dinner here both nights - FRESHLY home cooked Italian meals! Delicious and served family style! Breakfast did not disappoint either - plenty of choices in the buffet spread. The hotel is in a convenient area - close to shops, restaurants and the train station. Walking distance to the beach - which was nice for a jog along the harbor. Overall a nice stay.

Even though Italy is a wonderful country, Lavagna is not the best place for holiday. The beach is not at all optimal for swimming because of the giant waves. And there are no interesting places to see in the town. Unfortunately Hotel Bristol is not a nice place either. If you don't speak Italian, you will find difficult to communicate with the unfriendly staff. Even though they advertise that there will be free parking place next to the hotel, it is not totally true. There are 4 parking places (thus only very few guests can park there), and 1 parking place is only for the hotel staff. The man at the reception shouted with us very unpolitely, when we parked our car by mistake at that particular place (we were not aware of this rule, and it was not written anywhere that we cannot park there). We said sorry, but he was just shouting. It was a very bad experience. Breakfast was very poor quality and boring (the same few items every day).
